Hey everyone! Sorry it took a while for the latest update, but it turned out to be a lot more work than I'd originally thought. Long story short, I had to build a whole new window for the windmills around Solitude. I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out (check out the gallery for a better idea of how the new window looks), but in case you don't dig the new windows, I've uploaded a version that has the same window design as the Whiterun windmills (in the Optional Files).
Thanks to all of you who've downloaded and endorsed the mod!
Update 27th Nov '23.
I've uploaded a version that's compatible with R's Windmill. Installation order: Install and endorse R's Windmill, install this mod, and overwrite when prompted, go watch the stars from inside Renthal's windmill :) A massive thank you to Renthall311 for allowing me to patch their mod! Please give them some kudos!

A big thank you to all of you who've downloaded and endorsed the mod so far! It's really appreciated!
Update 1.1. adds a custom texture path for the window's normal map to avoid mismatches if you're using a window texture replacer. A BIG thank you to Mur4s4me for spotting that one. Please give Mura so kudos. She's one of the most helpful people here on the Nexus. Thanks, Mura!
Because Mathy's mods use custom texture paths, you can install them alongside other mods that edit similar meshes. So, you can use this mod alongside Skyrim 3D Windmill, but you'll need to choose which of Mathy's windmills you want to overwrite and which you want to keep. If, for example, you install Mathy's mod and then install my Whiterun windmills (overwrite when prompted), you'll have my windmills around Whiterun and Mathy's elsewhere. The same goes for if you install Mathy's mod and then my Solitude mill (overwrite when prompted). That'll give you Mathy's mills around Skyrim and mine around Solitude.
Make sure you install the Solitude windmills file too, if you want all your windmills to have windows. If that doesn't fix it, another mod is overwriting this mod's files.
for some reason major cities overhaul changes the wrwindows02 textures so it conflicts with this mod. however, due to some unnatural circumstances i think overwriting it with this mod's doesnt seem to cause any texture mismatch..
It shouldn't be. I don't think I've run Dyndolod since I installed the mod. Do you have any other mods that affect windmills installed? Which version of this mod are you using, too? Let's see if we can get to the bottom of this for you.
Nope Noble Skyrim for textures and ELFX for light nothing else ...I had Elfx loading after so tried to position before so that this Mod loaded after and got the same thing Invisible Windmills ... I find it weird since I have a lot of your mods and nothing like this ever happened ...
The only things that was overwriting this Mod was ELFX exteriors so I changed its load order but exactly the same result ..
I installed the first version Windmills have Windows - Non Parallax Don't know why but no mods on my load order ever done that LOL
Ok at the end I saw that simply my Windmills are like that invisible even when I uninstall this Mod so its another issue that I don't et what it is since I have no other file that changes the Windmill meshes , apart from the Noble Skyrim textures nothing else ... I am confused now ...
Only the Windmills have this issue that made me think I was missing Meshes but than your mod has its own Meshes so installing it should fix it but that doesn't happen ... I am scratching my head trying to understand what is missing Here the image sorry its night time !
This is really strange? How are you installing mods? MO2 or Vortex? It might seem dumb, but what happens if you manually drop my meshes into your data\meshes\architecture\whiterun\wrbuildings folder. Can you see them in-game then?
And yes its weird , I am restarting a new game and took off ELFX and mods needing it , going to install Lux and Via plus Orbis , cause I really think ELFX is the source of all weird things in my game ... But its Clearly a weird thing this bug and I didn't manage to fix it so far , lets see if installing a new light system fixes this ...
As for your suggestion of drooping the mesh file into the MO2 Data folder I haven't done that mainly cause I search for the Mesh file in MO2 virtual folder and it was there and more cause I add no other Meshe file related to that apart from SMIM and your overwriting it I am really confused and what I thought it was that its related to ELFX that depending on certain factors sometimes bugs out certain Objects so that is why I moved into a new game with another Light source Mod , Lux is the most up to date one so the choice was easy .. And its not a big deal since I wasn't that far in the game just arriving Riften to locate Esbern so not a very far into the story line ..

Is it for Whiterun only?

I noticed a LOD issue now with specifically (at this time of testing) with the new farm window Windmills (whiterun)
Far away they seemingly now look like vanilla windmills then as I approach they change to my current and long standing R's Windmill model again.
I have done DynDOLOD v3 as well..
Are there any plans to remodel the inside of the mill? For example, make the grain bowl less angular.
IMHO
