The Scottish highlanders would use it together with a targe while charging at the enemy on foot but it also became a popular sword for cavalry use during the American Revolution and you can see many examples used in the revolution at Fort Ticonderoga I believe.
You are right, but I kinda have first hand experience with this type of blade, as well as living history in general, and yeah, this thing is very heavy and very long usually, much better on foot then on horseback.
I myself do hema and reenactment my club studies scottish broadsword as one of its main styles, we mostly study regimental broadsword but we also experiment with the older stuff like McBain and Thomas Page, McBain shows it being used on horseback as well when talking about how to counter a mounted swordsman.
I know right, MacGrioghair had a good one but I feel like with Skyrim's current modding scene an even better kilt mod can be made with hdt-smp for the tail and cloth that would really look stunning unfortunately that is out of my wheelhouse and skill level.
Hello my friend! Amazing sword! I added it to my Fluted Armor Patches mod. I hope you like it. I fixed/tweaked some minor things first tho. Like optimized/fixed textures (but I changed the cubemaps to match the armor), oh! and I added the missing blood decal meshes. You can give it a look if you want, and fell free to use my edits at will. Endorsed and Kudos for you!
Thank you for the endorsement I use a lot of your patches for various mods, as I am new to modding I wasn't sure how to add blood decals so I appreciate it.
