About this mod
This mod increases the strength of lockpicks so they no longer easily snap, crack, or explode when picking locks. There's a variety of different options and strengths to choose from as well as alternative weaker lockpicks.

This mod increases the strength of your lockpicks so they don't break as easily! Alternatively, weaken your lockpicks so they break even easier!
There's four different types each with varying strengths:
Stronger, Standardized Flat makes all lockpicks break at the same rates regardless of a lock's difficulty. There's a baseline strength of 2, equal to a novice lock, with several more all the way up to 100.
Stronger, Vanilla Multiple makes all lockpicks break at different rates based on a lock's difficulty just like vanilla. There's several options with multipliers going from 1.5x to 100x.
Weaker, Standardized Flat makes all lockpicks break at the same rates regardless of a lock's difficulty. You can choose to have all lockpicks break as if you were picking an apprentice lock, an adept lock, an expert lock, or a master lock in vanilla. There is also an included legendary option with half the strength of a master lock.
Weaker, Vanilla Multiple makes all lockpicks break at different rates based on a lock's difficulty just like vanilla. There are options to weaken the lockpicks from 0.75x to 0.25x of their original strength.
I haven't touched the variables causing the lockpick skill to increase the strength of your picks. They will still be slightly more durable based on your skill. At higher lockpick strengths, the affect your skill has on the time it takes to break a lockpick is somewhat more noticeable.
There was a potentially unused variable, fLockpickBreakBase, that I modified accordingly with the others for consistency.
Follow the FOMOD installer instructions to install.
To alternatively manually install, grab one of the SturdyLockpick.esp files inside the subfolders of one of the option folders and place it into the data folder located directly within Skyrim's main folder.
Remove the SturdyLockpick.esp file from the data folder located directly within Skyrim's main folder. You will then need to save the game and completely close and reopen Skyrim. It seems that the variables won't be reset if you only go to the main menu or load a different save.
Should have extremely high compatibility with other mods.
I mass produced the variants, pulled the esp file version back to 1.7, and added the ESL flag to make it an ESPFE using SSEEdit. Check it out at:
