This mod breathes life into those fantastic GoT Dragon Models from KaienHash. It is part of the Skyros project. For more information on Skyros please watch this video, and feel free to join the Skyros Discord server!

Main Features

Natural dragon behavior: The dragons will preferably rest during the night, hunt during the afternoons, etc. They will interact with each other in various ways. You can adjust each dragon's behavior to your liking via the 'Activity Level' setting in MCM.

The dragons obey your orders once you earned their trust and have taught them the commands: 'Kisās' ('Eat'), 'Māzīs' ('Come'), 'Dracarys' ('Breathe Fire'), 'Rāpirī' ('Be Calm'), 'Angōs' ('Attack').

  • Feed a dragon using 'Kisās' to earn their trust. Once you have earned a dragons' trust, they will travel with you (loosely).
  • Use 'Māzīs' to make a dragon land near to you.
  • 'Dracarys' can be targeted - aim at the victim when commanding it, and the dragon will breathe fire at the target. During combat, the dragon will breath at its current combat target.
  • Use the 'Angōs' command, and the dragon will join your current combat. Optionally, set 'Dragons always help in combat' via MCM, and the dragons will always join you in combat. Use 'Rāpirī' to calm a dragon, and it will stop attacking.
  • The dragons' training can be skipped via an MCM option.
Highly dynamic mounting. You can mount any of the dragons at any time while they are grounded, even during combat. Dragon ride control is enabled via the IDRC mod.

You can activate or deactivate any of the dragons via MCM menu at any time while playing. Re-activated dragons will appear at the same location where they have been de-activated, and will remember what they already had learned.
  • Note: If you want to uninstall this mod, please de-activate all dragons via MCM first and save the game, before removing the mod from your load order.

Requirements

Known Limitations

  • Casting 'Kisas' makes the target move a bit.
  • The dragons may sometimes land at improper locations (on a roof, or between two obstacles), and then make awkward movements, or they are being teleported by the engine to a better location.
  • The dragons may sometimes shoot up into the sky when trying to land on top of another dragon, or on a prey that is below a barrier (eg a roof, or a tree). They will return eventually.

How to update from an older version of GoT Dragon Companions

Important: DO NOT directly update to the new GotDragonCompanions mod version! This will result in unpredictable issues with the mod. INSTEAD, please follow these steps for cleaning your savegame, before updating from an older version:
  •   With the old version of GoTDragonCompanions active, load your savegame.
  •   Go into MCM, and de-activate all dragons. Save the game ("Savegame 1").
  •   Remove old version of GoTDragonCompanions from your load order.
  •   Load "Savegame 1" into Skyrim (accept the warning on load). Save again ("Savegame 2").
  •   Install new version of GoTDragonCompanions and add it to your load order.
  •   Continue playing with "Savegame 2".
