UPDATE 1.2 RELEASED! Patch Notes: *Added a new optional Riften theme *Reworked numerous statics for improved detail, chiefly the faction plaques. *Added a new covered courtyard exterior model. *Numerous 3D model UV fixes (Apparently the SSE Nif Optimizer plug-in will damage your texture maps depending on their scale! >.<) *Additional new statics to improve variety and hone optional faction themes. *As the scripts have been significantly revised, I highly recommend a fresh save if you've already downloaded Eastwatch.
This is the final update, pending any bug reports. All of the features seen here should also be present in my next Outpost. I hope you enjoy this last refinement and please leave a comment if you've enjoyed the mod! See screenshots for teasers of the update features!
Author's Note: It should go without saying your game should always be updated, but if you're not running the latest version of Skyrim and you can't find the outpost you may need to install BEES (Backported Extended ESL Support - Nexus ID 106441) in order for any newer mod plugin to properly work in your game. Thank you Ringmaster308 & Blackspine18859 for bringing this to my attention.
Love your mods. They would be great as trading posts for wandering adventures , hunters and the like . The addition of a trader would be all that is required .
I am using this as my main home for my current playthrough, really enjoying it!
I just wanted to ask, if I get my own followers to stay at Eastwatch, will they also avoid using the thrones?
I know it will be a while before you do another mod, but are you planning anything simillar to this/Greyhill Keep near Solitude or Falkreath area by any chance <.<
Any invited followers should also avoid the thrones!
My next player home will be closely located near the city of Whiterun. After that, a player home near Solitude is quite likely. Mostly trying to utilize these new models in a way to show off their versatility. With very small changes they can look right at home in any of the Skyrim holds. See my images to see the Whiterun variant. Glad you've enjoyed this latest work!
Oh my!!! You are spoiling us friend! It looks so good! So I take it the floor plan of the outlists will be the same but the brickwork and upper sections of the tower etc will be relative to the hold they are in?
No rush but any ETA on the next outpost? Whiterun will work better for my current playthrough than Eastwatch, so might hold off on buying Eastwatch if a new outpost is popping up soon-ish ;)
Thanks again, good to have you back on the modding scene!
This next outpost should be finished in <2 weeks. I'm currently making Whiterun versions of all the models featured in Eastwatch, and I've mostly established my color palette now so things are coming along smoothly. Actually assembling everything in the creation kit should be a breeze since developing Eastwatch forced me to confront most of the issues/obstacles already.
Edit: As long as I don't go down any rabbit holes, the timeline should be actionable I mean.
Amazing! Glad to hear it. I guess my character will have to hold back on buying a home over the next week or two 😜
so will you be changing a lot of the statics inside to more ‘whiterun’ themed things or will it mainly be the brickwork and upper sections of the towers?
will you be keeping the frontier plate as the main armor for the outposts or will each one have its own little spin on it?
can I buy you a coffee or something for all this work? I appreciate it 😅
All of the statics will be tweaked to be Whiterun specific, the easiest example being all wood materials will match Whiterun architecture, and there will be some Whiterun specific models crafted for this next Outpost's new native city theme (will still have Imp and Stormcloak themes). I'm also comprehensively re-doing some models which will feature in Eastwatch 1.2. As for armor, I "may" feature a new color of Frontier Plate but that is the extent of my ambitions for armor this time around. I'm confident in my modelling ability but its the weight painting of the armor to the Skyrim skeleton that takes me ages of frustration and hair ripping. This whiterun pack is already causing me too much frustration to consider another new armor I'm afraid. My biggest pet peeve, curse you Bethesda for neglecting to complete the wrcastlecarvings_n.dds file.
oh wow that sounds really cool! looking forward to seeing what happens with the armor and the Whiterun outpost, taking a break from skyrim till the collect I am using is updated. Excited to hear more about what is coming up after whiterun outpost etc. Decided on a name yet? ;P
Adding the themes is a bit challenging and time intensive, especially minding how the scripts fire to cancel each-other out so you don't see a stormcloak logo mashed into an imperial one simultaneously. For this one I don't think we'll see any additional themes. My next outpost will feature an additional standard native city theme though! Eastwatch will get one more update in the near feature, adding an additional exterior model along with some small model fixes that I've noticed require tweaking.
Curious. In that case, fast travel to Shor’s Watchtower. Once there, walk immediately east. You should find Eastwatch on the downslope. If it isn’t too much to ask, could you DM me your load order?
You might need to install BEES (Backported Extended ESL Support - Nexus ID 106441) in order for any newer mod plugin to properly work in your game. A new reality for all of us modding Skyrim since Bethesda's recent updates of the game and the CK through Steam. I recently did this when I experienced the same problem with the last update of Foxchase Manor.
I have not done the update yet since my load order is really heavily burdened at the moment. Will wait till most of the mods are updated and will retry this one at a later date.
@parchedgoose - I also have not updated to the newest version yet (still using 1_6_353) and not planning on upgrading. If you WERE to upgrade your game to the current iteration, then the mod I mentioned wouldn't be necessary. The BEES mod is for everyone who has not yet upgraded, or desire to play an earlier version indefinitely. The newest CK via Steam upgrades automatically like the game, but now it creates plugins that won't work in the earlier versions. The BEES mod is necessary to make the plugins of the new mods coming out backward compatible with all the earlier versions.
Broooo!! Thanks for the new mod, Greyhill Keep is permanently in every single load order of mine. I wanted to ask, does this home have a stables for my horse like Greyhill keep?
Good enough for me! Will my horse auto park there if I fast travel to the place like it does on Grayhill Keep? I hope to see some more places from you in the future :P
Just wanted to pop back to say I love the mod!! Amazing - not normally a location I would settle in so I’m looking forward to working out why my red guard warrior (future knight) will settle there. I think my load order (GATE TO SOVNGARD collection) works well with this home for my playthrough.
oh and I like the fact when the follows sit at the table Or fire pit, they don’t use the throne chairs. Was that intentional? 😋 thanks my guy! Looking forward to your next mod, always solid gold!
1.1 update released! Small changes include the following.
*Fixed UV issue with one of the new custom barrels *Added Cooking Pot so the player can craft various food items *Added a handful of items to interior space for additional clutter

I like to stay neutral in the war lol x)
