What if I wanted to edit the script so they don't sing or play unless asked would that be possible? Asking this since I use Personalized Music for my game and have custom inn music
But there's an error with Mikael in Whiterun. He doesn't even play instruments anymore. I actually uninstalled the script because of this. It's inconsistent with much dialogue in the Bannered Mare about Mikail being a songbird etc. Like him or not, it's an issue. And unimmersive. Please fix this. (Or maybe provide instruction for people who want to fix it themselves.)
I reinstalled this old game, followed my own requirement and install instructions, loaded up bannered mare, and Mikael literally stood up and went to play flute.
If you clearly don't know that this mod is causing something, which is tested by testing it on a bare install, not by whatever soup of mods you have installed at the moment that actually caused your problem, don't make baseless stupid claims in my mod comments.
I don't care about Mikael lore, this mod is focused on doing one thing and one thing only.
So with this script installed, Mikael sings/plays the first time you enter the Bannered Mare, but never after that. He only sings/plays once. After that he's just hanging around, whatever time of day it is. That's what other users here also commented. It's this mod that causes it, and my LO is not a soup. But I apologize if my initial comment was worded in a bad way.

Verifiably untrue. I also tested that.
Not only does my mod not do what you describe, there is no vector for that script to cause what you're claiming. Again, unless what you're describing is happening on a bare install (which I know is not the case here), don't waste people's time.

I have seen no comments about this here. I read all my comments.
Ok - I was wrong about someone else commenting it - that was something else. And of course I should have considered my other mods. The issue may be Cutting Room Floor, which makes a change to Mikael. I apologize for the hasty commenting.
Sorry to ask. I know you said you used the bard script from unofficial patch with there is a conflict in MO2. There has been lots of update of the patch however does that mean it is still ok to use this mod and there has not been any changes in the unofficial version?
This is an amazing fix, thank you! None of the vanilla bards could actually sing to save their life. It was terrible listening to them. Now I have relaxing ambient music :)
No, you're not. Check your other mods before making silly claims. This mod doesn't change any exteriors. Even if it did, there isn't a way it would crash on every exterior.

It's a timeless game, by the way.
