Just noticed this NPC replacer came back. Thanks for putting it back up I just redid my modlist again and needed my favorite Saadia. I don't know if you saw my previous comment before you took this down initially but you really capture (whether intentional or not) a North African/Middle eastern appearance;  The inspiration for Redguards is Egyptian/Libyan/Moorish and the people that live there vary a-lot in skin color and facial structure so her being "lighter" doesn't have any baring on her race or not. However some people forget that the concept of "Black people or African" doesn't even exist in Elder Scrolls because we're talking about Nirn, people, not Earth xD so those opinions are pretty irrelevant.

Keep up the good work!! <3

      Hello, Angroba30!

Did I delete your previous comment?. As far as I remember I never did that, I just hidden this mod to edit Saadia's skin color and make it darker.
My version of Saadia NPC sports light skin in the image gallery, because at the time I used the PI-CHO ENB preset which tends to make the character's skin lighter. If you have Silent Horizons 2 ENB preset installed, you'll notice that she has much darker skin in-game than in the images uploaded by me.
Anyway, Saadia's custom face is based on that of actress Morena Baccarin, who doesn't have black skin, is of Italian, Lebanese, Portuguese and Brazilian descent. I didn't want her to look African, I preferred her to be mixed race, but then I edited her skin color and now it looks darker than in the follower mod version, lol
I'm very glad you like my Saadia replacer, thank you very much!

You say that with a deeply dark toned stereotypical african woman as your profile picture. Maybe leave this conversation to the adults instead of once again attempting to gaslight and silence the people who very gently confronted issues with white washing cannon black people.

The original inhabitants of Egypt are darker skinned Africans, now after many centuries occupied by middle easterners. Since you know Egypt is in Africa after all and very hot in a desert with intense exposure from the sun which would have caused it's original inhabitants to be that dark in the first place. I guess some people just like to forget how evolution works.

If you want to dismantle real concerns about white washing "it's a video game" Hammerfell is based off of Africans in the desert with a twist Middle Eastern cultural inspiration, where their skin tone would have evolved to that tone. And Saadia still would have been canonically dark skinned as she was presented in vanilla.

We aren't, like, doing so well, are we? After looking at your profile every woman you've posted in media, a mod, and your very profile picture are all dark skinned. I don't want to assume you have a fetish but it's a little weird to once again dismiss everyone else who OP himself admitted he got over defensive and was in the wrong considering the gentle criticism.

      Lol

Then why did you interpret your redguard preset as being a black woman? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/103955

Looks like kinky african hair and known african features to me.

You focus on those irl black women being in your game and we'll focus on asking valid questions that results in the mod still being downloaded and enjoyed by user personal preference? Same thing you're doing. Deal?

I apologize again to those who were offended by my previous comments. I admit that I reacted defensively to user comments about this mod at the time who didn't like the skin tone and hairstyle chosen by me for her, but it wasn't because I anticipated that she has light skin, just due to my inexperience creating npc replacer mods.
I borrowed a follower face preset that I had already released some time ago as a replacement for Saadia's, thinking it would look good as such and I didn't give much importance to the skin color until I read the first comment from a user who didn't like the way she looked and it made me aware of my mistake and I accidentally reacted defensively and then I regretted having made those types of comments.
I just made a bad decision by choosing the wrong face from one of my follower mods to give to Saadia, I could have done a better job sculpting a new face for her from scratch, but sadly I didn't. If it were up to me I would have deleted this mod forever, but I won't delete it, because I want it to remind me not to make the same mistake again with future npcs created by me.
I hope one day I decide to release a new Saadia replacer mod, but at the moment I have no plans to do so, in any case I should sculpt an exclusive face preset for her.
P.S. I blamed the ENB preset used by me at that time, but it was all my fault for not choosing the right face and skin color for Saadia.

@mookymilk Just putting it out there I am a black woman? And I like to play as characters who look like me, that is the point of character creation, making a uniqu I think my profile picture and my preset I uploaded made it obvious, not some creep with a kink. And my comment was in defense of OP because they were being attacked in the previous upload of this mod and It wasn't fair.

Not intending to start a comment war under this persons mod when it is gratuitous. And as previously stated: This is a video game we're talking about here, no need to get up in arms.

She is very light as was brought up pretty gently in the comments. It seems like you were actually more defensive about it than anyone was "offended". There wasn't any hateful or inflammatory comments like your sticky implies with the "criticism". You knew she looked too light in the pictures and anticipated this reaction. If you knew ahead of time then you should have taken pictures of what she would actually look like in the game. But it wasn't just her skintone, you also applied straight hair when it's canon that she has kinky hair. It would be one thing if just the skin was lighter b/c of the enb, but to have the skin + the hair made it look a lot more intentional. She's canonically black but you went out of your way to present her as non black. You certainly could've received a lot more "criticism" for that alone, but instead people just asked you out of genuine curiosity why you made her look like that? People can make Saadia look however she wants to look, that is their right, but people can also wonder why you made her look like that and thought no one would say anything. This community has a long history of white-washing poc characters in the game so it was always going to be a gentle situation you'd be walking into making the decisions you made.

She doesn't have a black skin color and appears whiter than she really is due to the ENB preset I used when taking these gallery shots. When I finally decided to edit her skin color, I placed Pandorable's Saadia next to my Saadia replacer npc to make comparisons with both skin colors and then decided to give my Saadia a slightly lighter skin tone than Pandorable's Saadia, because she doesn't looks good in my game with darker skin color.
It's true that I was defensive with my comments and I apologize for that to anyone who was offended.

Bingo! That's the face I gave to Saadia and is based on Morena Baccarin's, that's why my follower mod named Morena has that same name and her face is the one I borrowed to put on my Saadia npc replacer.

Friend, NPC replacements are especially valuable, since an additional follower is not so in demand, at least for me personally. I hope you will make replacers of sublime quality, it’s very cool to see an NPC in the game and recognize someone in it, it’s like you’re watching a movie with your favorite actors.

I'm glad you like the way she looks, Izzy!
Regarding the malicious comments from users towards this mod it doesn't matter now. Two days have passed since what happened and during that time I kept my Saadia replacer mod hidden to finally edit all the plugins and add a darker skin color.

She doesn't actually have yellow skin. These gallery images are of her as follower mod. At that time I used PI-CHO ENB KONAN Edition and it made the skin look lighter and of a different tone. Since I was lazy I didn't want to take new shots of her and now I have to pay the price for my mistake, lol!
