Remember to download Window Shadows RT first. Then overwrite with this mod if using the main file.  The optional Ultimate beta file is standalone and doesn’t require Window Shadows RT or Skyrim Is Luminous.

Pro tip:  Install the Lux split meshes (ONLY, not the rest of the mod) if you have flickering.  Overwrite the LUX meshes with the meshes from WSU.  It will help with flickers.  Neither version of WSU should flicker.  But it can happen depending on the rest of your set up.  (FWIW, I don't get any flickers at all.)

    Ver 1.0 worked fine.
Ver1.1 crashes before the first logo appears.
Can my NetScriptFramework crash log help you?

If you are on a version of SSE prior to v1.6.1130, make sure that you have Backported Extended ESL Support installed.

Dear Zanderat, thank you very much for the wonderful mod! Please tell me why the brightness of the ambient lighting does not change, no matter what option I chose at the beginning of the installation of Window Shadows Ultimate? I tested it in the Jarl's hall in Whiterun, as shown in your screenshots. At the same time, the light from the windows seems to be displayed correctly, without flickering and other errors. I specifically disabled all mods that affect lighting, and I can not find the reason.

I have the same problem. After many tries, I found that parallaxgen_output is overwriting it. When I put WSU after it, the brightness of the ambient lighting changed.

    Hello!
Im using JK Palace of Kings and WSU Ultimate, Light Placer, Placed Light.
I get this weird wall with holes there: https://imgur.com/a/88yPBPQ
Im using the WSU Patch for the JK mods. But I still suppose this must be related to the WSU Mod. Im not really using other mods that would be changing the Palace of Kings. Did anyone else get this problem? Its also when starting a new game

you should see what it does to JK's Blue Palace in the library. bookshelves go missing and it deletes some of the floor so things like books and you can fall through

Will you change the dust effect on the light shafts? Dust doesn't follow light and it should just fall straight down. The dust looks very unrealistic amidst a very beautiful and realistic light.

If the building's in Skyrim had air conditioning then maybe the dust would seem to be following light occasionally but they don't have air conditioning in Tamriel I'm afraid.

I'm using RC9 standalone with Placed Light / Light Placer for Community Shaders.. Nothing else though, but I'm not seeing any window shadows at all.. I'm letting RC9 overwrite everything, the plugin is enabled.. what am I missing??  Also I have BOS installed (it's the VR version)

The interior lighting this mod provides is amazing. I am using the latest version of Window Shadows Ultimate RC6. It seems to have every interior cell covered except for that of Fort Dawngaurd and some buildings within the Great City of Winterhold mod. I am wondering if patches for these interiors will be released or if I am doing something wrong which would cause the lighting inside them to appear off? Specifically, the light seems to shine from the ground up and illuminate the ceiling.

This occurs even in rooms with no lights and casts an even white/grey light up to the ceiling.

Installed Window Shadows Ultimate RC6 for the first time and really liked it the shadows were outstanding, i really liked this mod , unfortunately had to remove it due to causing issues at JK's collage of Winterhold Arcanaem  it add wall structure surrounding the desks  and lots of flickering flor tiles.
I installed Windows RT with the updated and everything is fine apart from the shadows cast without the windows frame design.
Hopefully Window Shadows Ultimate RC6 this will get patch for JK's collage of Winterhold.

Is there a reason that this mod needs to add it's own interior meshes? I ask because I want to use Stairs of Safety or the new FYX Jarl Longhouse, but this mod replaces it. Is it safe to remove the interior mesh changes with SSEedit, or must I do some steps to make FYX meshes compatible?

Edit: I see now that I can just hide the BOS file to not get the mesh replacement, but can ANYONE tell me why these meshes were needed in the first place? Even just a guess, anything.
