I've had an unique issue, which I managed to solve - maybe it will help someone some day. I have Skyrim VR without ESL addon and to use Animated Ships I was instructed by Vicn to change file extension from ".esl" to ".esp", which worked perfectly. Today I've installed the patches using Object Swapper VR, so the ships don't collide with other stuff. After the installation it seemed like it doesn't work, so I looked by chance into the INI files and it turned out you can just replace all ".esl" occurrences with ".esp" so the addon file names match and everything works like a charm. :) This finally convinced me to the Object Swapper, which - as I can see - is a powerful tool.
The Midwood Isle FOMOD offers the option to move its ship in Solitude away from the main docks further east in the direction of the big ark. Now when the Animated Ship is turning there next to the coast, it is clipping through the docked Midwood Isle ship.
Unfortunately, the Midwood Isle patch here in this mod doesn't address this specific issue.
If possible, could you do a patch for this and Moon and Star? Moon and Star plops a village right on the water in Lake Illianata. The ghost ship, while amazing, ends up sailing right through it throughout the night. Kinda funny, but would be better if it sailed around the village.
Animated ships and JK's Volkhiar have a slight conflict, a ship clipping through the added rocks in the harbor and potentially some less obvious overlaps in the area. Not being covered by the JK's patches afaik yet.
Can we have some patch to disable ships in lake Illinalta or short steps how to that? It makes zero sense for them to be there, there is not a single port and it's impossible for ships to go up through waterfall.
These patches don't work anymore, because unfortunately Vicn has changed the IDs of the ships in v1.2.0 of Animated Ships. Are you planning to remake the patches with the new IDs?
I believe I have found a solution to make a BOS file that works on the newest version of Animated Ships. Since Animated Ships changed up ID's with 1.2. The ESP's still work so you can just convert them into a new BOS file (You do not want to use the old ESPs on the new version of animated ships that it was not made for, for a variety of reasons)
Step 1: Download whatever ESP file patches you need.
Step 3: Drag it into your SSEEdit's Edit Scripts folder.
Step 4. Right-click the patch in xEdit and apply the script (no real reason to check if they can be made into a BOS as obviously they can)
Step 4: Save it to overwrite the original BOS mod or make an empty mod in mo2 for it.
This is a very rudimentary fix I used to prevent errors from popping up on Dyndolod and Texgen. I'm not even sure it totally works, but I saw no ship collision when sitting around in TGCoS docks for a few minutes.
Solitude outskirts + Solitude Docks updated does not work Solitude outskirts alone still clips with boat. Is this still being updated? Val Serano and Astrid patches possible?
Dude none of these patches work. Im ticking all the mods i have. Specifically the laketown one and it does nothing. Ships are just clipping straight through. Even then there are ships doubling up and merging into another. If an ESP version fixes this that add it back as an option in the FOMOD please. ill have to uninstall something now
