Should I be able to see the coins in my inventory when I am not interacting with and exchange, either to a container or a hireling?

I installed Immersive Jewelry it supposedly gives coins weight but since it didn't seem to work I'm going to get this mod and see if it works

I installed the .01 weight on a character with roughly 20k septims and found that the coins still had no weight. Do I need a fresh save file?

Edit: I just need to use the mod manager downolad. I'm able to make it work on my laptop by doing that, but my desktop is a rat bastard right now.

.. All the optional files have wrong values. Here are edited files that work: 0.1 weight: s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=88095771307253318428 .
And here for 0.05 Weight: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=67382813758520065173

I've fixed the wrong optional files. In fact, only 3 of the 5 optional files have wrong values. Still thanks to your report.

You can use SSEdit, go into the esp and edit the weight itself.

    Works for AE

For anyone looking for true immersion on gold coin weight. The steel greatsword is 17 weight. A Zweihänder weighs 8.8 lbs at the heaviest, so the skyrim system is roughly .51lbs per skyrim weight. A gold septim is roughly 30.536 grams according to a calculation by a reddit user. So 1 septim should be .12 skyrim weight. So use the .1 version of the mod for as close immersion as you can get.

just as a warning to those who use this mod, it will re-enable the amount to loot dialogue for picking up coins in chests! there is no way (that i know of) to fix this

"re-enable the amount to loot dialogue for picking up coins in chests! there is no way (that i know of) to fix this "

      What does that even mean?

They are referring to the "select how many" dialogue when you pick something up.
Ex: Picking up 6 potions of healing will give you the slider to say how many you want to move, this will do the same thing.

0.01 weight might as well be 0.00... 2000 gold could would only weight 20

Good idea, hope this mod works

The new options have been added: 0.02, 0.05, 0.08, 0.1, 1. By the way I didn't test these options. Just modified the item "Gold".
For those who want different experience of carrying heavy coins.

      https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/1hk18p/gold_weight_calculation_thank_god_septims_weigh_0/

If coins get too heavy consider storing, gifting or investing in precious gems to sell at merchants http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Precious_Gem_(Skyrim)
