It will not hurt performance, it may even improve it if you have other mods that do not disable objects and simply move them down :)
If you have any of those mods, you need this:
Capital Whiterun Expansion Lite
ESP to BOS'Inator (xEdit Script) - If you're using an older version of this mod, or any mod made with older versions of this mod (consider updating!)
Those mods don't need it as they swap the model to an empty nif, but it won't hurt!
Lightened Skyrim - Base Object Swapper edition
Lightened JK's Whiterun
Lightened JK's Riverwood
Install with your mod manager. It's an ESM file, not compactable.. Sorry, no other way around it!
Place anywhere in your load order (LOOT will sort it right)
Capital Whiterun apparently has reportedly some issues with this mod. If you are experiencing crashes in Whiterun with the mod installed, make sure you select the right version in the fomod. It will remove all occlusion in the WhiterunWorld worldspace, so you will not get any benefit from this mod inside Whiterun. However you will benefit from it everywhere else :)
Some recommendations:
- I would recommend placing the mod before USSEP in your load order (let USSEP overwrite). No major conflct, it just makes sure that any edit to cells by USSEP are not overwritten :)
- IF you are still using Mator Smash, leave this mod out of the list. Apparently it causes issues. You can enable it again after running.
- You may also want to untick this while running dyndolod, some unconfirmed reports of issues there. You can re-enable it after running.
Robert for discussing the idea with me ;)
The people from the synthesis/mutagen collective for making this possible!
