Nice one! Nvidia's updated plugin is behind a CUDA core requirement so no AMD cards will work with it and Intels DDS plugin can't export correct normal maps (they come out green). This plugin version however works just like the old one. I can't thank you enough for this. Now I do not need to use Gimp anymore. Currently using 25.3.1, exporting works like it should, but opening DDS files is a problem, so right now I just save a .psd too so I can go back and edit if I have to.
Edit: Seems I was wrong, for some reason it started working like normal after I exported a .dds file, after that I could open most .dds files with no problems, some of those exported from gimp still cause issues. I had to reinstall the plugin after updating to Version 25.3.1.
Edit2: I seem to be wrong about the Intel plugin, if I delete the this plugin and use just the intel one, everything works, the reason why I got green normal maps was because I misread, it said BC5 NOT DXT5, BC5 = DXT7 which only uses red and green channels. So If you want a plugin that works on the newst photoshop 2024 on, you need to go for the intel one. That one also lets you open dds files.
For some reason I cannot open any .dds files without Photoshop crashing and having an error. Any tips? EDIT: Okay, reverting the version fixed the issue. the newest issue as of now 22.4.3 has problems with .dds files loading. If anyone is having the same problem, switch to an older version.
The description page says "Only works on 32Bit versions of Photoshop". When I open SSE textures I only see black (where when I open them in MO2 I see the texture). I used the 64bit version of dds Plugin for Photoshop CC (I have 64bit version of CS6 installed - not the 32bit). Do I need to installed the 32bit version too, or is CS6 not a version of "CC"? I see LE textures fine, I was hoping this would fix it so I could also see the SSE textures in photoshop. Thanks for your help.
