I doubt it; this mod only affects how NPCs will receive the spell that makes them affected by Wildcat, thus burst injury still works exactly as before. The increased script load that EnaiSiaion is warning about will be present regardless of this mod.
Hi BrokenDeer, Thanks for the mod. Just for information, I thought I might post this regarding the filtering of Tolfdir. I checked the comments section of Wildcat and came across two comments as to why the MO may have excluded Tolfdir. It seems the mod may be effecting the quest "The Eye of Magnus". Comment summary as follows:
"12 July 2017, 6:27AM This mod doesn't let me finish The Eye of Magnus quest. Tolfdir won't talk to Ancano and the quest won´t progress. I disabled the mod and completed the quest. Tolfdir just stands there looking at Ancano, but not attacking him."
"29 April 2017, 2:04AM Came here to drop bug report and noticed this thread in reddit while searching for a fix: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/6293it/xbox_one_modded_help_defeat_arcano_glitch/ Seems that tolfdir bug is in wildcat here on pc, ie he just stands there not casting the spell he is supposed to. And tested it with earlier save without Wildcat he casts the spell normally. ( Note: I did try loading earlier saves multiple times with wildcat on since, a similar bug is apparently in vanilla skyrim, but only disabling wildcat allowed me to progress)"
Looks like the MO of Wildcat as a result decided to filter out Tolfdir. Hope this helps others.
Looks like I got too big for my britches and made a big mistake. This mod will ruin others' ability to complete quests? This is tragic news. I'll prioritize releasing an update that blacklists Tolfdir and create a file that forcibly removes him from Wildcat's framework if he is on it. The new files will be safe to update in-game. I'm so sorry about this.
Fixed it, mate! I tested both the updated version of this file and the "Fixit" file, both now available. Anyone using the old version of this mod should get the "Fix" file and overwrite their old file if they want to continue their playthrough. Users beginning a new playthrough need only get the latest version of this mod (V1.015). See the description for details. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, dmayhead.
What? I'm confused AF. I'll just assume that means no. It doesn't work with the realistic damage plugin. What a weird way to answer a question about your mod. Lol. The mod itself is unnecessary anyways I was just curious lol.
Nah it works great with realistic damage plugin and has no issues. This mod is a plugin and a SPID .ini file. The plugin has nothing to do whatsoever with the realistic dmg plugin and the .ini file has no compatibility issues at all. You can see all this yourself if you open this file in xEdit and realize it has no conflicts or overlap. This mod is necessary and I implore you get it. I'm not trying to be dickish or flex on you, I just want you to learn the basics xEdit so you can actually have control. You're asking obvious questions because you're basically wearing a blindfold and I'm telling you to take it off. Learn conflict management it will make modding this game possible.
Lol. Guess I'll just go remove all my mods and patches I made with x edit then...damn...btw you have a really crappy attitude. I'm at work saw your mod and asked a question. So it's good bro. I'll pass on this. Thanks. Stay broken, deer. Let me just open x edit on my phone real quick....this guy...lol and we all promise you are not flexing on anybody lol
You don't use xEdit on your phone? Noob. Anyway don't pass on this mod if you use Wildcat. It's compatible as can be and makes Wildcat better. I know I knocked you down a peg just now but put your feelings aside and use this good mod.
I have never seen a person lose its composure so much after being called noob. He even gave an answer and came back to "improve" it. Imagine him eating something at night and thinking "I'm gonna edit that answer, yeah, I'm gonna say he's on the spectrum, that's a good one". What a clown.
DeoGracias man I would have completely forgotten about this spid file if not for you...the mod author should thank you for getting someone to click on it again lol.... also +1 to your necromancy for trying to resurrect dead things bro...., you also should eat a Snickers and calm yourself there little one. Peace and do take care if you can.
originally he said "looks like i'll have to pay your mom a visit", hence my response, but he must've sobered up because he edited it out. This is such a stupid thread. inb4 snickers
Nah what I said was " I'll talk to her about your attitude tonight" well.....we talked and she agreed your positivity was definitely missing, much like your father from your childhood lol
This thread is honest to God THE most exciting thing about this SPID file..
You've almost got a couple thousand unique downloads from your mods finally, good job!!
That is certainly way more than the like three hundred you had when you called me a noob. Which more than likely explained the shock at your response to even calling someone a noob.
Keep going you almost got that one month of free premium.
Thank you for the mod, more performance its always good. About the Tolfdir thing, can't just add "|-Tolfdir" at the end of line in the ini, to prevent him from getting the effect?
np, and yeah I could and it would make this mod 100% like the original Wildcat but I decided not to. That might've been sloppy on my part but I figured it'd be fine.
You won't notice this mod in action. Wildcat will function exactly as before except now it's more optimized. You should get this mod because it's a performance boost. Long explanation: Wildcat gives NPCs a spell so that the mod can work. Actors who have this spell are able to be fully affected by Wildcat. Wildcat give NPCs this spell by giving the player a cloak spell. This cloak spell is like "Fire Cloak", except it has a much larger radius and instead of setting its targets on fire, it gives them that spell I mentioned earlier. This method of distribution is disgusting compared to using SPID to give NPCs the spell on runtime, regardless of whether the player is near them and without ever needing to use this horrible cloak spell. Get this mod.
I don't recommend using this mid-save because it changes the spell's magic effects. Idk what happens if a spell that you have gets altered while you still have it. If you're really desperate, you could just run the main file without the plugin. The plugin is only there to remove the obsolete magic effect from the spell, but if you don't mind having a permanent useless cloak you could just use the included SPID .ini file as the mod and disable the plugin. This would allow you to install safely mid-playthrough.
I'd say you could remove the cloak spell from yourself and then activate plugin but idk man I don't install things mid-playthrough.
Wait wtf am I thinking the whole reason for this mod in the first place is to eliminate that godawful cloak spell. Sorry m8, you gotta start a new game unless you know what you're doing.
I tested it with this mod and it was better and the response to injuries was faster. I wonder why there are so few downloads in Nexus, it would be close to the Hot Mods
I doubt this mod could make injuries more responsive unless the cloak spell really was that bad. Maybe lol Also yeah, anyone who uses Wildcat needs to get this mod. If you know about the cursed cloak spell, you'd want it gone.
No, not directly. This mod distributes Wildcat's "WCT_Ability_Spell_Ab" to all NPCs using SPID. Wildcat originally distributed this spell using a cloak spell. Now, WCT_Ability_Spell_Ab DOES distribute injury spells to NPCs when their health percentage goes below the variable that can be set in configuration, but this mod does not directly apply injuries to NPCs. Basically, this mod gives NPCs the ability to gain injuries (and many other Wildcat things) using SPID, but injuries will not be applied any differently in the end. I hope this makes sense. You won't suffer any conflicts from this mod as long as you don't have any other plugins modifying the exact same record as my plugin.
SPID lets you put parameters into its .ini file that let you choose who does and who doesn't receive the spell, but I ignored this and chose to give the wildcat spell to everybody. This spell will be distributed to everybody, including all creatures such as dragons (which is normal for original Wildcat).
I should note that the original Wildcat mod excluded Tolfdir "Tolfdir" [NPC_:0001C19E] from receiving this spell, but I chose to distribute the spell to him anyway instead of filtering him. I see no harm in it but who knows?
No other NPCs were excluded in the original Wildcat, so this patch is mostly faithful to the original work.
Edit: to answer your follow-up question, I don't recommend using this mid-save because it changes the spell's magic effects. Idk what happens if a spell that you have gets altered while you still have it.

does this mod reduce the script load of burst injury ?

EDIT : bro my wife said I can't make fun of people on the spectrum. Have a good one.
