Hey yall, Bob here, and if you're like me, you have Skyrim downloaded in your steam folder. You may also have that steam folder on a separate drive. And if you're having trouble with this mod then like me you may be suffering from a condition known as "thinking I know better than the modder about where my files are"
Turns out that YES, while my skyrim.ini folder is off in my vortex, editing it does not do SHIT. But we were all of us deceived, for another ini was made. Deep in the land of Windows, in the folders of One Drive, the dark bill gates windows forged a... second god damned skyrim.ini for some reason.
But seriously, even though I have skyrim installed here: "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition", and an ini file for skyrim in my votrex folder here: "D:\vortex\skyrimse\profiles\SydxeLa4n"
I could only get the scripts to write by changing the other ini here: "C:\Users\Notmyrealusername\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition"
and then it INSTANTLY worked and spat them out into OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Logs\Script\User
Basically look for every folder named "Skyrim Special Edition" on your whole computer and one of them surely has the ini file you need to change. I want to point out that my frustration with getting this to work is on me, not the modder because its not their fault I didn't know where that ini was.
Anyway, hope this helps. I don't know if its proper etiquette but I'm also going to poke a few of you that had this problem in the comments incase you never figured it out.

Same here. Doesn't work. No log files created. Skyrim SE (Steam) with latest SKSE.
