I have an issue, though. For some reason Sergius Turrianus refuses to enchant gear for me. When I select the "I'm in need of your services" line, he always replies "Not my problem", and I can't see the options to enchant. I thought it was because I wasn't part of the mage guild (I'm using At your Own Pace), but I'm still having the issue after completing their first two quests (just finished Under Saarthal). I have the merchant perk although I downloaded the version of your mod without the perk requirements. The mod works fine with Eorlund and the witherun court mage (forgot his name). It's only with Turranius that I have this problem.
What could be the reason for this? I played with Honed Metal before and never had this issue...
TIA
EDIT: My bad. It's related to the "NPCs Restrictions" option in HM MCM menu. The MCM loader checked that option, which requires the player to complete some quests to unlock certain crafters like Sergius. Apparently, I need to complete a few of his fetch quests (not the college quests) to do so. I never played with that option before, that's why I was confused.
Guys when ordering bolts/arrows/(bullets from mods like vigilant) I get a permanent weight quiver even when all the projectibles are gone, any idea why it is happening? it is not from this patch actually I searched for it looking for a possible fix
I found the difference in DialogTopic RequestCrafting (using SSEEdit): Honed Metal has Data size 113 and patch has Data size 226, but the records are otherwise identical. With other dialog topics, Data size is identical between Honed Metal and the patch.
I select RequestCrafting in the original mod and "Copy as override (with overwriting)" into the patch. This changes Data size to 113, but does not change the children of RequestCrafting, so the perk requirement is still Merchant.
Tested in game: This change makes the forge option appear and the perk requirement is Merchant.
Having the same problem as others: selecting Merchant perk has no effect on blacksmith -- can see only option to create leather. No forge options appear at all, no matter what I do.
Requiem 6, Skyrim 1.6.1170.
If others weren't reporting the same problem with Requiem 5.x I'd assume it's a 6.x issue, but doesn't seem likely.
Mods used are minimal: bugs/patch fixes, skyUI, accurate fast travel time, magic sneak attacks, Honed Metal and this patch.
Hello im having a problem. I cant see the forge dialogue for blacksmiths. i can only see craft and temperment dialogue. Giving a haggle perk doesnt fix the problem. can someone help?
Is there a chance to make a patch for earlier versions of Requiem, let's say... 5.0.2? :D I believe this is the last working version for 1.5.9.7, at least with my game. Newer are CTD before even main menu appear.
I didn't really downgraded anything. I don't have AE, only SE version of skyrim. Edit: Requiem 5.2.2 seems to be working on 1.5.9.7, higher versions tells Reqtificator to ask for 4 AE mods
Playing on Vanilla Requiem 5.4.5. Running on a problem. When I get the merchant perk I do unlock the enchantment option, however, when talking to a blacksmith to craft an item, they still only show the tanning rack's options.
The changes are identical for crafting and enchanting, so I have no idea how these dialogue issues are even possible. Might be associated with mods that change npc voice types or dialogue options, but not sure.

Would you upload a version without Speech perk requirements as an option file for us to choose?
I really can't figure out why it won't work for some people...

No idea why that even happened... a bug?
