I run this mod in multiple 1200 mod + profiles with no CTD issues from it. What you have is either (easy) load order and mod conflicts or harder errors in some mesh that need to be corrected. Did you do the basic steps when setting up your mod load? Did you clean your whole load order and check it for errors in sseedit? I just looked over the bug list for this mod and it is no wonder why the MA has not responded to them. none of them are bugs and all of them are caused by similar that you have posted. load order and mod conflicts. Do you run a crash logger? it could help you find a bad mesh if that is what is causing your CTD. Get your load order straightened out and cleaned first correctly if you use loot it is only a tool to help and not an absolute it does get some things wrong. look for patches in incorrect location they should load after the mods they are patching. use wrye to help you find mods that have their master load order incorrect and fix those. start with watching gamerpoets videos on how to mod and do the things I have said and advance your skills from there. you should be able to find the problems in your mod load and fix them very easy.
I just installed it and walked around.. loved the buildings and what it added, but I ultimately had to uninstall it because there were too many floating lanterns, houses that were raised too high, landscape gaps and things like that... a shame really
Hi! Hello, I have a stupid question that almost ABSOLUTELY has an obvious answer but I wanted to be sure.
So, I know it's a "compatibility nightmare" and I can 100% understand why it would be, but I absolutely love Open Cities Skyrim because it brings back that feeling of world wholeness from Morrowind, and just feels really good. Now, OBVIOUSLY, that messes with a LOT of things that a LOT of other cool mods would want to address! This mod, I completely admit, looks INCREDIBLY APPEALING to me because it adds SO MUCH to the empty space that plagues Skyrim! But it also has a heavy emphasis on the area immediately surrounding Whiterun! What I want to know is: does this mod or any of its components play nice with Open Cities Skyrim? Because I really don't want to give up on Open Cities, it does so much to make everything fit together in my head, but I feel a strong gravitation toward this mod as well after taking a good look at it and I'm VERY aware that Open Cities isn't easy to work with lmao
Wanted to say this mod is great, and I love what it adds, but any patches in the future can emphasize making it fully compatible with Capital of Whiterun, it will literally be amazing, cause with those two mods working together that is most certainly the best version (in my opinion) of Whiterun that can be created with the current mods. (Not focusing on textures or smaller changes as JK overhaul does compared to those two)
Also it was great how you made Hvidfal a standalone so I suppose if your ever considering working on it making this mod more modular or making more standalone versions so people can choose what parts of this great mod to use would be absolutely insane
Man I remember trying this back in 2021 when I did not know anything about modding, now I wish to use it again in a long term save but idk what issues I might find. I'm not using any overhauls for whiterun just fabled forest might conflict maybe.

Willybach's Hvidfal
However, I got one question, is this compatible with "Whiterun Has Walls Redone" and "Warbird's Whiterun Metropolis" ?

It does the same thing as Open Cities, but isn't made by Arthmoor and has it's own patcher to to fix compatibility issues with edited objects
There are some big personalities in the modding scene. Arthmoor is one.
