As an apology for duplicating what this mod (currently) does with Dungeon Quests are not Miscellaneous, here's a list of some other (non-Dungeon) Misc Quests which probably have enough content in them (or are otherwise significant enough) to be converted to Side Quests. I'd much rather you consider expanding what you offer here with some of these than just hiding this file away!
I’ll look into these. One challenge that made e scratch my head was a lot of misc quests are divided into multiple separate quest for teach task / objective.
Hmm... if we take Dark Ancestor as an example, I would suggest moving all the objectives into one quest (say FreeformFalkreathQuest03) but keeping the quest progression where it is (FreeformFalkreathQuest03B in this instance). Then you have FreeformFalkreathQuest03B calling the Objectives and Stages from FreeformFalkreathQuest03 to update the journal.
Or you could create a third quest to control the Objectives and journal stages (call it FreeformFalkreathQuest03Obj) and have the other two updating the objectives in that one rather than themselves. (This is how the Civil War works - the quests which contain the objectives and journal entries are mostly separate from the quests that control the progression of the war itself.)
Actually, i looked into a lot of misc quests and there a only a few that imho really have the necessary, substantial lore, enough objectives and/or are interesting enough to be fully fledged side quests (and dont have radiant locations).
- "The Raid" and follow up quest "Supply and Demand" (which are both part of the Riften Thane Quest line) - "Caught Red Handed" (Riften too) - maybe "Paid in Full" (Thieves Quest in RR)
Almost all other quests are either very simple fetch/kill/gather quests, are radiant quests, dont have any lore or relevance, or mostly have only 2 objectives, which i find to cluttering to be fully shown Side Quests in the end.
I tried doing it myself, but despite having written all of the necessary Journal Entrys etc. in SSEEdit, it seems like you need compiling the quests in Creation Kit, to enable the Entrys to be shown in the Journal.
I was dwelling on this actually. Ideally it'd be something somewhat complex "involving more then one simple objective like go fetch and come back" ... Or something that sends you to a specific challenging dungeon to face off with a unique opponent such as Dark Ancestor. Although that one is broken into two misc quests, which makes it more challenging to convert.
This is a great idea, thank you. Tracking for potential future updates. I'm not sure how well this would work or not work added to an ongoing playthrough where player has already read the book (and the quest has "already started"..?).

Quests which already have journal entries
Quests which are the primary quest for a town
Quests with significant or important content
Bard's College quests (since other faction quests aren't Misc either)
Tel Mithryn quests (since the rest of these are Side Quests already)
