1. Use this Backported Extended ESL Support If you are on a Skyrim version lower than v1.6.113. 2. Check your load order. Use xedit to detect any issues, other mods making changes, etc. 3. Universal Cured Serana Eye Fix. To fix her eyes issues. It's an engine issue. Skyrim is buggy. 4. Neck Gap? use this Save Unbaker 5. You're still using vanilla textures? stop right there and use these: BnP - Female Skin by swefrida | Reverie by Novelyst | Bijin by Shiva182. Any of those are good enough. Any textures will just work.
I really love the face and hairstyle. I've been looking for a new Serana replacer and this is one of the best ones I've seen so far. My only issue is that it looks like she has too much makeup on. Could you possibly make a version where the makeup is toned down a bit? I really like this mod more than the others.
I downloaded it because I really liked the picture, once I installed it I realized that it looks completely different, I discover that to make it look like in the picture I need to install additional mods that in turn require more mods and in the end it becomes something much more complicated than it seems at first look..., this Serana really looks very beautiful, I wish it were possible to have a simple guide to achieve that look for people like me who do not have much experience with this, thanks!
The thing is, every user has their own taste of body textures...so, I don't want to strees myself trying to fit everyone tastes OR trying to make it work for every freaking body around CBBE, UNP, UBE, TBD, 3BA, BHUNP, etc...that's why she use your textures, but not just textures, she use your body meshes too...if you're playing modding skyrim and still using the vanilla textures...that's a war crime (joking).
And I think you're new in modding, so, do it yourself a favor and install a modded texture. I shared my favorites on the pinned comment. Don't use vanilla textures.
There is an section for pictures where other users shared their own pictures. Everyone using different textures.
I have achieved a similar result, finally I used the BnP textures together with CBBE (without physics). It's been 3 days of a lot of research but I had a good time. I also took the opportunity to customize and improve the appearance of my character, thanks!
This is so nice to read! I'm glad you decided to use a body mod and a custom texture. Really deserved. BNP is really a great texture and the author has something for males too. Have fun :)
It took this user 3 days of research when all he wanted is to recreate the look as is in your screenshots, not "to his own taste", just because you didn't specify how you achieved it... another guy who didn't have the "Skyrim modding bible" and probably had to install/uninstall a handful of body mods and compare the result with your screenshots. Even raw food products have "basic preparation" instructions on the package, but you can always use any recipe to your liking...
The truth is that urbon has done an excellent job with this replacement, I am using it and although I have not achieved a result equal to the one in the photos, for me it is good enough (very similar), When I look at this Serana, she mesmerizes me, especially if I look at her from the side (I think she has a very good side profile).
Forgive me if I refer to him (and maybe it is her), but I don't know him at all.
Doing some research I found the list of mods that he theoretically uses: https://loadorderlibrary.com/lists/list-1604
And I think I begin to understand why he can not tell us exactly how he has achieved the result that appears in the photos, it is literally impossible, probably is the combination of thousands of variables (including lighting mods / ENB).
If you ask me today if it was worth that investment of time (where I also learned a lot about modding Skyrim), I would tell you that it was totally worth it.
Aww, well, an enb too ofc. I'm using BNP as a texture base, but I have my little tweaks on it. I really would live to share it on my replacers, but the permissions to use BNP are hard to get. Also, what if people don't like it? or I mess up? I really don't want to created those troubles and I been thinking about adding custom textures to my followers, but that's too messy, because everyone is using different body textures, or body mods, so I would need to work out in different setups and that's a lot of work hehe...I also want to play the game 😅.
So, it's more easy to make them to use your default textures, like, if you're using another texture or body, they will just work. It could look different ofc, but the morph of the head is the same, so, that's why I didn't include body textures. So, sorry and thank you!
I'm wondering if this mod works without Expressive Facial Animation -Female Edition-, since I don't use that mod. I had problems with that mod on the latest AE version (Steam) and I use the mod Conditional Expressions - Subtle Face Animations and Conditional Expressions Extended with no problems, can I use that instead of Expressive Facial Animation -Female Edition-?
Those two are different mods. Check the info from both mods to have a better answer. I'm on latest AE as well, Expressive Facial Animation -Female Edition shouldn't have any issues since is just resource file. I'll updated later this mod to integrate on my replacer but I though everyone had that mod on their modlists.
If you have high poly head, then you fine and you can ignore Expressive Facial Animation -Female Edition.
what are the exact mods/meshes and presets you need to make her look exactly like the pictures, I'm using the BnP skin and Caliente's body, but her head looks small like it doesnt fit her hair, any help?
Not sure what I'm missing here... latest AE from GOG, don't have any other visual mods. Installed with Vortex. Default options for the mod. Hair, eyes and makeup work but the face just doesn't look like in the screenshots. She still has that square-ish jawline face. https://i.imgur.com/c7SQIsz.png
Just tried "Serana Re-Imagined SE" and that one worked fine...
Mate, I'm just trying to have her look like in your screenshots, which what I [understandably] assumed by fulfilling the Requirements for this mod, while the image underneath even states "No Requirements". It seems to work with CBBE + BnP/Bijin. Not exactly a case of "No Requirements".
It's exactly a case of no requirements since it work with any textures, with any body. A requirement would be using just one type of body but since there is a bunch of body mods around...that would need requirements. And since every user have their own taste, I couldn't just fit it.
Your fault is using vanilla textures and I'm sorry but I don't understand why you're using vanilla textures. Vanilla textures are obsolete! it should be a crime using vanilla textures on these time. If you don't like how soft are some textures, there is a bunch of textures for a more mature appareance around...like BNP.
But is also my fault, I should put the legend about "she use your textures" in the front page. I'm sorry, I apologize for that.
She will work with any body since doesn't have requirements, so please, try modern textures if you don't mind. Serana re-imagined use custom textures, that's why it just work, but I don't like having requirements and like I said, every user has their own view about which textures are the best and I don't want to bother with it trying to fit every taste.
Yeah, I ended up keeping CBBE + BnP, looks nice. I don't mind having to use custom textures, just saying that a mention that vanilla textures won't work properly with the mod could be nice. "Serana Re-Imagined SE" worked without custom textures which confused me, since I'm not into modding that much to know these small-print details, so it's not obvious to me. Anyway, thank you for the mod, really like her face, it's cute.
OT kinda weird this whole "30-years-old-looking Serana" situation since she clearly said that she turned vampire as a kid when she was offered to Molag Bal. She's supposed to look at least as young as this mod makes her, if not even younger, but child followers are not a thing in Skyrim.
are you new to modding? It's pretty much common knowledge here that NPC replacers will look different depending on your mods. This doesn't depend on anything, so it doesn't have requirements. If you are new, then welcome. Take this as a learning experience that reading is important.
Specifically in this game, yes. If I need anything extra to make her look as intended (i.e. like in the screenshots), then saying "it doesn't depend on anything" is just being dishonest at this point. "Serana Re-Imagined SE" doesn't depend on skin mods to look as intended, this does. It's as simple as that. It may not depend on a specific skin mod, but it does require one to work properly.
The lore explains why this is. Not going to tell you why she looks 30. Modding in any game always has assumptions within the community. Unwritten rules per se. Its very well known by 99% of the Skyrim Mod community with replacers, like this one, that the modder leaves the final touches to the consumer. It benefits everyone this way. No one has to cater to specific tastes nor tell you the obvious. Thats up to you to read.
A quick search on Nexus by filtering Top Mods of all time, you'll see there are only 2 main body mods. UNP and CBBE. There are ones with unique taste after that, but its quite obvious that these are the go to. Looking at the pictures of UNP and CBBE, youll see which one is curvy. Its just good etiquette to do your due diligence before demanding something.
"No one has to cater to specific tastes nor tell you the obvious. Thats up to you to read." I'm missing your point. I didn't say that a body mod needs to be specific, just the fact that one is necessary to look like intended. I don't see any "unwritten rule" that all NPC changers require a body mod, or that you need to assume anything of the sort. (Perhaps because it's not true, there are plenty of NPC changers that include everything required and are usually larger in file size) Didn't know that I need to read some kind of hidden "Skyrim modding bible" because everything is somehow obvious to you.
Nu-uh. The peak replacer for Serana. Even more when paired with Serana Dialogue Add-On. Her face andKerstyn Unger's superior voice acting performance are a match made in heaven.
This face looks so good, but i have a problem that i don't know how to fix it, at first when i start the game Serana has the modded face... When i start to teleport somewhere her face becames invisibile leaving only eyes and mouth, BEES is already installed, i have tried to change the load order but nothing helps...
It's weird. This is the first time reading something like this and I'm not sure what could be the issue. I didn't did any different from my other replacers.
