    I love this mod I am just wondering if there is any way to fix high heels stuck in the ground without race menu, every mod I find needs racemenu or a different mod that needs racemenu in some way or another so I'm a bit stuck. Another thing to note is I'm not that great at modding.

      1.6.1170 is AE.
      1.5.97 and anything before that is SE, anything after that is AE.

    I promise ill never update my GOG skyrim if you make an update or kick racemenu backside into making an update for GOG's version 1.6.1179.0.
    You see i am 100% done with steam and their bloody updates, supposedly everyone else is, however how many actually bought the DRM free game from GOG, 500 or so. Why people why?!

      No one is done with steam. it's children and man-children kicking their feet and lashing out...Nope, a few will stomp, think they are rallying to a clarion call, leave, and find out they were near alone in their defiance. Were this an issue of manipulation, people would leave. It;s an issue of stability and continuing support through new titles....So, enjoy the cold over there :) GoG is like Epic, hanging on by finger tips in a market where the sharks already finished off the meal.

    For all people who have the issue of ECE not working (missing sliders, missing features, etc.) after using the Unofficial Downgrade Patcher's "Best of Both Worlds" option to downgrade your .exe to version 1.5.97, you must do the following to restore functionality:

    1. Use the racesex_menu.swf from the ECE version that you downgraded from. For example, I downgraded from runtime version 1.6.640 so I would need to use the racesex_menu.swf from the 1.6.640 download of ECE.

    2. Use the characterMakingExtender_64.dll from the ECE version that you downgraded to. For example, I downgraded to runtime version 1.5.97 so I would need to use the .dll from the 1.5.97 version of ECE.

    Doing the above, I was able to have ECE fully working again in my downgraded game. The above may also work if one downgrades to an earlier version of AE by using the .dll for whichever version that one downgrades to but I cannot confirm.

      I am, however, getting the common "failed to generate facemorphs" error. Will update this reply if I find a fix. Also, the vertex editor does not seem to work. And most importantly, I can't seem to import slots.

      edit: could not find a fix for vertex editor & slot loader

      Strange that both of those features don't work for you as they do for me. I would suggest that you confirm that you have downloaded and installed the 1.5.97 version of ECE and only replace the racesex_menu.swf with the one from the 1.6.640 version. I'm assuming you have downgraded from and to the same versions as me since you did not provide that information.

      I am using 1.5.97 for sure - but it's with Nolvus instead of something like Best of Both Worlds. Nothing overrides ECE in plugin and in modlist, and XPMSSE has been changed for ECE. There really shouldn't be anything conflicting with it, so I figure it's an issue with Nolvus's downgrader. I have since given up.

      For those who are struggling with in-game sliders no showing up in showracemenu with no error on the errorlog.

      try replacing the racesex_menu.swf

      This needs to be pinned! I manually downloaded the latest version and manually downloaded the patch file for 1.5.97 and overwrited the latest version. Installed and everything works perfectly. First time I actually got ECE to work.

      You deserved a big round of applause. Spent nearly 6 hours wondering why all the sudden my sliders disappear. This should be pin and bold on the front page.

      Just tried the new patreon version and seemed to work quite well.  I didn't get any crashes and played with just about everything I could think off.  I didn't get much color variation in the hair.  Not sure if that was my character or something yet to be added.   Thankyou heaps.

    Trying to convert some ECE presets that I like and am struggling.

    When you look at a Racemenu preset .jslot, you can see the names of the .ESP needed and the fileID's used.
    When you look at an ECE preset .slot, there's just numbers and numbers.  Can't interpret it.

    In game, the sliders seem to just be numbers as well - for example eye color is just numbers, no indication of what mod the color is from or what the name of the eye color is.  If I don't have the exact same set of eye color mods installed as the person who made the preset, what hope do I have of my numbers being exactly the same as theirs? 

    This seems like a nice tool for creating characters, but definitely NOT for sharing them...

    Any advice would be appreciated

      Not directly, but if you are able to export nif (meshes), then you could use Outfitstudio to basically imitate Sculpt feature from Racemenu. You use the base head both mods for conversion. If they are already identical, you can skip conversion and just import the meshes in Racemenu sculpt.
      Note though that slider information will be lost. You may consider to note (screenshots or text editor) the changes to the slider and then use the ECE slider extension of Racemenu (and probably other sliders too) to carry over your changes.

      If I download a .SLOT file from Nexus, there is often no .NIF sculpt included.  That's the issue.

      The .SLOT that an author shares will likely not work on anyone else's loadout.  Yes, the head sculpt may work, but the selected hair, beard, brows, eyes, are a crap shoot.  There's no identifying data in the .SLOT to help you know what was used, and it is configured to strictly work on the author's loadout only.

    The mod doesn't work with version 1.5.973 and SKSE 2.0.20.
    Even after trying to mix the versions, it still doesn't work.
    It also doesn't work in Enderal: Forgotten Stories.

      Same here guess need to use Racemenu what i do not really like but better than nothing. It's sad i've been this mod since the beginning on LE and have created many characters, but after that updates nothing works. Hope to see a solution soon. Have all installed not even a shred of working sings :-(

      Nothing against ECE, but if you use Racemenu, you could install mods like ECE Slider Addon, ECE EAR Shape Slider, Individual Eye Segment Sliders, Expressive Facegen Morphs that can make it easier to form faces as you want.

      ECE itself runs fine on my 1.5.97 installation. Just make sure to remove anything Racemenu mod related and start a new game before switching to ECE.

    1.Where do I place the CME_save folder if I'm using a modlist from wabbajack, since the mo2 folder doesn't use the Document folder?

    2.I don't get any text for the sliders such as preset slots or name of the hairs i'm looking at.

    Using the 1.5.97 version. Everything works fine other than those two problems mentioned above.

      Using MO2, I was able to click on the "Show open folders menu" and choose "Open MyGames folder"
      Create a folder there "CME_save" if it does not already exist
