Beta version 2 is now out and should fix all issues with the Active Effects (and other widgets if linked). Right now I feel this version is more of a release candidate for version 1.
EDIT: I have decided this version will be changed to v1.0 once SKSE64 is out of Alpha.
Found a pair of "pre-emptive rebuttals, when reviewing Papyrus logs, today:
(Immersive HUD) Please ignore the following error (Cannot cast from None to SKI_WidgetBase[]) is seems to be a lie! There is no error, but Papyrus seems to log one anyway.
(Immersive HUD) See? That None object the error said could not be cast was in fact just cast and contained the widget I needed, and its element is: _root.WidgetContainer.6.widget. This seems to be an error in the Papyrus logging and should have no effect on your game. Please contact me if you believe otherwise. Thanks - Gopher
I've been using iHUD for years, with no issues, at all. Thanks, Gopher!
Hello! I love the concept of this mod, but I have an issue: I'm using Edge UI with True HUD. When installing Immersive HUD, it places the player stamina, HP and magicka bars on top of the existing bars. Is there a way to disable the bars provided by this mod, and use only the ones I'm using now?
Have you tried using Vortex to do it? If it's as simple as a header change, Vortex can do (AND undo) it with one click. SEEEdit can also do it by applying a script, more effort than one click but still not too hard.
If it's not that simple... then you're asking the author for more effort than you might realize.
An oddity: With Nordic UIinstalled, this mod's feature of hiding the compass doesn't work. ...Well, it does, in that the various icons of the compass are now hidden, but the border / background / the non changing bit of the compass stays there. Which is kind of the worst of both worlds. I can set the transparency of the compass to 0 in this mod's MCM, but this also hides the temperature gauge which I want to stay active. Has anyone else had this problem?
i'm having the same problem with UntarnishedUI, managed to solve it using ultimate immersion toggle, but since it literally hides everything from the HUD, including new discovered location texts and dialogue subtitles, it's not a solution i'm satisfied with.
I dont think I ever had issues with this mod in all these years but now checking with Papyrus Profiler this keeps spamming scripts literally ALL THE TIME. Should I just give up on this mod? I dont think theres alternatives.
I already have TrueHUD. Does that have an option to automatically hide UI too? Thats what I use IHUD for. I like how it hides everything and only shows Health/Magicka/Stamina bars when they are depleting, and I use X as hotkey to show the compass. Been using this setting for years but if this mod lags the scripts I might have to stop using.
Would be great if the compass could be left alone. I want to hide the HUD except for the compass. I cannot find any mod that does that, and this one does not allow choosing which elements to hide.
Any way to remove the arrow counter with this mod? I played for years with it hidden and now all of a sudden it's back. I don't know what changed. None of my UI mods get rid of the arrow counter anymore and the ones that do overwrite my current UI config. All I want is to get rid of that one thing without changing anything else.

Was able to replicate the issue you faced. Managed to fix blinking cursor issue by turning on the below setting in Immersive HUD's MCM:
Options > Force Crosshair to hide
