I will release a new mod page that will contain compatibility patches and optional add-on files for SIC (the old HLE version still works and should be available from the file archive in the meantime).
In order to save your made MCM settings, you will need to install FISSES. It is a soft requirement. If it is not present in your mod setup the option will be missing from the MCM.
Installation:
I recommend to use Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex for downloading and installing mods. Both shouldn't have any problems with the large file size of the new texture packs. Download and install the main file AND one of the two texture packs.
Compatibility:
It is no problem to use the original mods by 4thUnknown alongside SIC v7.

This thread is for explicit questions about this particular mod. We are willing to give a lot of support to our users, but we are not responsible for every user's mod load order nor do we give support for all kinds of mods.
I've installed it for a few years now and I love it, but still, when I look back my playing experience, I find that it seems I'm not encountering a lot of creatures which I expected to find in this mod, maybe I'm meeting them so rarely, or not at all. Like I really can't recall my last encounter with ogre, not even once, and daedroth, and clannfear, and hunger. I did meet minotaur, but for about twice or thrice only. Anyone feeling the same? Or is there something I need to do?
Same, but I also have a ton of mods that ad creatures, so I would guess whatever decides what encounter will be spawn has a bigger list to choose from, hence the rarity.
Sadly, all the way until the recent update of monster mod, SIC has been the only major creature variety addon that lies in my mod list. I really want to see all those giant creature and daedras roaming the wilds. Maybe there are many of them aren't mixed in the leveled list? Like those Imperial Skeletons in Shor's Watchtower, which are hand placed.
I get Welwa hide as a drop but it does not show up as a leather option. So up to this point im just selling the hides as I cannot convert them to leather for crafting
After several hours of testing I'm convinced this mod is causing my crashes near cities.
Everything works fine without it, everything crashes with it. Can't verify if it's a version issue because this is one of those individuals that hides older versions.
Frankly I won't bother either way, I've spent more hours troubleshooting than I want to remember. The other comments about CTDs with no answer don't give me much hope. Getting rid of the mod as I don't see another option
This has been my experience too. This mod made my game very unstable with constant CTD. When it worked, this mod was great! It made exploring so much for running into goblins and monsters.
I am not sure if its the difficulty but the creatures from this mod are all very strong. I have it on Legendary in the main menu and I likewise set it to Legendary in the mod menu. So strong that it breaks immersion. You can tell instantly when fighting a normal skeleton from Skyrim or when you meet a skeleton from this mod. The Pygmie Trolls are so tanky one of the levelled my One Handed from 80 to 85. Their short arms also make it impossible for them to actually hit you so I imagine that is why there is an option to disable them.
Worst of all are the Huge Cave Bears. They are so outrageously powerful that fighting anything else feels very easy which breaks immersion. Why would I take dragons, Alduin or Miraak seriously when I fought off four Huge Cave Bears and a single one can take massacre at least three Miraaks without any issues? Why is anyone even afraid of dragons when these bears pose a far more serious threat? I am sure other creatures have issues too but I have many of them disabled for immersion. There are complaints in the comments about Goblins too.
Alduin can eat worlds, bears are bare, dragons can fly and breathe flames downwards like jetplanes! Companions can handle bears. Hahahahaha Skyrim groups I mean!
Does anyone else have the skeletons from this mod bugged? Theres like two cemetery I found, one in Lake Ilinalta and another next to Morthal, and in both of them I see skeletons t-posing on top of graves. I think they were supposed to rise from under the grave when I approach. Checking with console they are from this mod. Also skeletons and spriggans in my game t-pose after I kill them and I still have no idea why...

You installed this outdated patch on top of SIC v7. Remove it and revert to a savegame prior installing SIC v7.
I done started my next playthrough not realizing I won't be getting any XP from these strong ahh monsters
