Unfortunately, no. Distributing drams to NPCs would have required extensive edits that were beyond the scope of this mod. Consider any random septims you see as a side effect of people preferring them, given that the dram is worth so little.
Quest rewards at Raven Rock and Tel Mithryn say I get gold instead of drams.

They're lying to you. If you check your inventory, you should see the added drams. Unfortunately, this wasn't something I could easily change.
If we have Merchant Perk, which allow you to buy and sell from any merchant regardless of what they normally buy and sell. But here's a small issue that we can also buy/sell the drams/sancar/or sth orthers from merchant, is there any way to fix it?
Experiencing an issue where I arrived at Solstheim and exchanged septims for drams just fine, but when I went to leave the island Galos no longer has the exchange functions. He goes through the intro again, and then at the end, I get one dialogue option for something like dram_intro that just repeats the explanation again.
Edit: Galos no longer speaks at all. Not even an idle or greeting, just hit E and nothing at all.
Love the mod but it seems that i can't pay bounty in drams. Not a big deal and easy to avoid by not exchanging all septims to drams. Just putting this out here.
I am seriously stumped. Both the Morrowind Mint and Skyrim Silver mods are not trading in the correct currency. I have them loaded in the correct order and I have the new currency, but I can only barter in septims. I did also have the coins of tamriel mod option with only septims edited, but removing that on a new save doesn't fix the issue. I have aalso made sure all plugins are loaded in the recommended order, but still cannot use drams or ulfrics.
would be nice if you added a small chance to find old golden Drakes (the septim equivalent from the age of the almsivi when morrowind was at its peak) in some of the older ruins and such around the island
Make sure you load the base mod and No Office patch *before* QRR. I'm making a patch to make this fully agnostic but I'm not sure where and when it'll get published.
Bit late here, but can I ask whether the patch is based on InstantKor's cleaned navmesh? xEdit is reporting some navmesh errors, which I suspect could be down to the patch not being compatible with InstantKor's patch.
Are all the merchants in Raven Rock supposed to be charging the same amount in both drams and septims, even tho drams are supposed to be worth only a third? I know there's some text on the front page about merchants trying to fleece newcomers, but I genuinely can't tell if this is intended mod behavior, or if I have some incompatibility somewhere
Yes, merchants in Raven Rock will sell things at prices three times higher than their value in septims, even to you're trying to buy with septims. This is a semi-common thing sellers do in real life to try and scam people via exchange rates.
If you try to sell them something in septims they will only buy things at their base worth in septims. So, it is always better to buy and sell in drams in Raven Rock as they won't artificially be inflating the price.
Hah! I literally just came to the comments to check if a mod like this would be feasible before downloading. Figured there would be some posts for an against it. But this kind of settles it.
Not that I dislike the mod, I love stuff like this! For another playthrough, perhaps.
No problems with adding new currency, but I always viewed gold as an abstraction.
Maybe there's indeed different coins in the nordic ruins, but they get auto converted to septims, but we never actually shown those coins...
Though going back to Morrowind, in Morrowind you could find dwemer coins, and they were worthwhile, they were light and costed 50 drakes each, it's like living in a second world country and collecting dollars, lol.
I guess I was unlucky that I disabled all mods(including all my loading screen ones) but 1 during testing and that possibly was the one which adds this text to the Loading Screens, lol.
I think the author of Journey to Baan Malur added some currency loading screen that I didn't expect to see there. Why would a worldspace expansion talk about currency... I thought that that loading screen showed up because I disabled all mods and it wasn't showing up pr previously prior due to priority.
I asked the author of that mod, and it indeed adds such a loading screen text.

In vanilla game nordic ruins are full of Septims, I just imagine in my head that it's just automatically converted into septim's worth.
Same goes for dwarven ruins, in Morrowind we had dwarven coins and in Skyrim... Abstraction.
