Unfortunately, no. Distributing drams to NPCs would have required extensive edits that were beyond the scope of this mod. Consider any random septims you see as a side effect of people preferring them, given that the dram is worth so little.
Quest rewards at Raven Rock and Tel Mithryn say I get gold instead of drams.

They're lying to you. If you check your inventory, you should see the added drams. Unfortunately, this wasn't something I could easily change.
Are all the merchants in Raven Rock supposed to be charging the same amount in both drams and septims, even tho drams are supposed to be worth only a third? I know there's some text on the front page about merchants trying to fleece newcomers, but I genuinely can't tell if this is intended mod behavior, or if I have some incompatibility somewhere
Yes, merchants in Raven Rock will sell things at prices three times higher than their value in septims, even to you're trying to buy with septims. This is a semi-common thing sellers do in real life to try and scam people via exchange rates.
If you try to sell them something in septims they will only buy things at their base worth in septims. So, it is always better to buy and sell in drams in Raven Rock as they won't artificially be inflating the price.
Hah! I literally just came to the comments to check if a mod like this would be feasible before downloading. Figured there would be some posts for an against it. But this kind of settles it.
Not that I dislike the mod, I love stuff like this! For another playthrough, perhaps.
No problems with adding new currency, but I always viewed gold as an abstraction.
Maybe there's indeed different coins in the nordic ruins, but they get auto converted to septims, but we never actually shown those coins...
Though going back to Morrowind, in Morrowind you could find dwemer coins, and they were worthwhile, they were light and costed 50 drakes each, it's like living in a second world country and collecting dollars, lol.
I guess I was unlucky that I disabled all mods(including all my loading screen ones) but 1 during testing and that possibly was the one which adds this text to the Loading Screens, lol.
I think the author of Journey to Baan Malur added some currency loading screen that I didn't expect to see there. Why would a worldspace expansion talk about currency... I thought that that loading screen showed up because I disabled all mods and it wasn't showing up pr previously prior due to priority.
I asked the author of that mod, and it indeed adds such a loading screen text.
You're using old version of xEdit which doesn't recongnize FormIDs from extended range introduced with 1.71 variant of the plugins. You need to update your tools (it applies to CK, DynDOLOD, xLODGen and LOOT as well).
Hi! How do I translate these names? In the inventory when trading it says ‘Dram’ and ‘Vendor Dram’ on the bottom right. I've translated everything else. I don't understand where to find these names in the files.
The answer is in your other mod ‘UI elements are translated within the string file located in the interface folder. I think it's packed up in my BSA.’ Thanks, I'll look for it)
I base object swapper installed, but I do not wish to utilize this mods gameplay mechanics. Is there a way we could just play with a simple Gold retextured to Dram while in solstheim, without having to exchange and install office characters and all that stuff? Would be great to have such options in the fomod thanks. Otherwise brilliant concept, Especially the Dram coin design.
I've never tested this before but you can try downloading C.O.I.N., then moving the SKSE folder and MorrowindUsesDrams_SWAP.ini file from Morrowind Mint's mod folder into the C.O.I.N.'s mod folder and then delete Morrowind Mint from your modlist entirely.
Damn, I found your mod by accident while googling an issue I'm having in morrowind, the game not the place.
I'm trying to create a new currency XD And I got so excited reading the title, until I saw this was a skyrim mod lol
Will say though, looks really cool, Im impressed When I get back into modding Skyrim I'll give this a shot, Really has that realism economy vibe and I like it
Why when I enter the Exchange Office I am treated like a criminal? The dunmer, Galos Andrano says that the Office is closed, so I went in the morning at 9am and then I tried again at 4pm, but still I was trespassing the Office. What are the opening hours? Do I need a prerequisite before I can do business and exchange my coins? Because I tried all of this on a fresh visit to Solstheim arriving for the first time on the island in my playthrough.
PS: Thank you very much for the Quaint Raven Rock Patch!!
Hi. Little late to the party but I also ran into this issue in the GTS collection. Probably a conflict somewhere but either way, you could give "SetCellOwnership DESOfficeOfExchange" a shot in the console. Be aware that this will, in fact, make everything inside the cell owned by you. Try not to steal everything ;)
I was also using Merchant Exchange but I dropped it because as far as I can tell, these mods do exactly the same thing and in a far more interesting and immersive way via the voiced NPCs.
Not really the answer you were after, but hopefully it's helpful.
EDIT: Try the Treasury Exchange mod. It's by the same author as Merchant Exchange!

In vanilla game nordic ruins are full of Septims, I just imagine in my head that it's just automatically converted into septim's worth.
Same goes for dwarven ruins, in Morrowind we had dwarven coins and in Skyrim... Abstraction.
https://imgur.com/a/iKyesck is this a intended edit? It looks empty and has some conflicts with other mods. Can i remove that column safely?
