In its current state the plugin might cause issues or parts of it will not work as indented.

No, for latest versions it is not required and should be fully compatible. Let me know if you face any issues during the installation.
I really appreciate how you manage to capture realistic features. Both masculine followers like Uthgerd and feminine followers like Melana come out so... life-like? I don't know how to explain it, but there's a new problem I didnt expect to encounter: all other NPCs in game look less realistic now because of your few replacers :).
I try my best to make them as realistic as possible. I don't use other npcs in my game at the moment, but I think using a good skin (like BnP with mature maps) makes the vanilla ones already 100% better. I wish to grab some from Nithi's packs, some from Northbourne... but it requires a time I don't have atm so all the rest in mine is vanilla HAHA

Sucks, it seems to be no good tutorials online for skyrim modding.
I learned most of the things with my friends, Alenzar1 and TheMagnusTheory, and also AnnAccident, but BellaDovah's tutorial is very good, is simple and straight to the point. You can find it on Youtube.
Beautiful Replacer! Looks really well done and while still staying true to the original design, just overall one of the better replacer mods i've seen and i got like 40% of my modlist consisting of custom followers XD. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this and for reading my long ass comment :)

About the troubleshooting, don't worry, I am pretty ignorant most of the times too HAHA I always ask for help for my friends that are more knowledgeable than me in those conflicts and anything else.
Well, about the dark face bug, need to point that my Melana is standalone, so she has her own body meshes and textures, it is not affected but what you have installed on your end, so disabling stuff would not help in this case. Basically, the only thing that would happen is a strange texture position in case you try to equip UNP clothes on her that shows too much skin. Besides that, the black face bug could be a conflicting of FaceGen/thing that edit the same records, I believe. She should be in the bottom of your load order to avoid anything overwriting her records. Maybe this article can be of use. MAYBE, just maybe, if you have RSV installed, it could be messing with her too (in this case, would need to add her in RSV exclusion list, but I don't have idea how to do that, I believe their modpage should have something about it, tho).
