Hi, you recommend pairing your mod with HD Local Map ... but will your mod fix HD Local map from breaking the fog of war and revealing the entire area before you've explored it?
In case you were wondering, this works very well with Dear Diary paper map option. I installed the mod just for the local custom markers as I expected the colors to clash with the paper background, instead they work decently well out of the box and I'm keeping them on for the time being. I'll upload a picture when I figure out how.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well it looked without adjustments. I took the liberty of uploading the screen because I'm sure some paper map entusiast will stumble upon your mod in the future and wonder how well it will work on their system, just as I did. Now they won't have to wonder.
any idea on how to customize this mod, its not said on home page and I've been scouring my skyrim folder and i cant fin anything, and the fact it doesn't have a mcm option makes this veeeerrryyy frustrating
Removing fog in local map doesnt seems to work. Set it to ZERO according instruction, fog of war is still active. Map is also very transparent, is not so clear as on the picture. No idea where the problem is.
Incompatible with Quality World map and Clear map?
i am currently using skyrim 1170, Local Map Upgrade 3.1.0 and using ragon's Eye Minimap 1.1 but i can't see any information about Enemies, City guards, Hostile-on-sight NPCs, Lootable corpses; Neutral NPCs, Followers on the map. despite adjusting in the .ini
; Makes the local map colorful or black and white: 0 = black and white (vanilla), 1 = colorful bLocalMapColor=1
any ideas? Also using HD Local map (no color settings there) and Dragon's Eye minimap (which uses these settings) as such I only have a mass of low contrast grey dots for NPCs, cannot distinguish what sort any of them are, even if you manage to see them against the similar tone background Just noticed a bug report for the opposite issue - someone wanting B&W but only gets color.
Edit - unistalled and reinstalled, colour now present - but it is very subtle - the red enemy dots are really dark, followers/friendly remain grey like unknowns.
After some troubleshooting I realized that the issue is not caused by Local Map Upgrade or HD Local Map, the local map is still very transparent even with those mods disabled... If anyone has any idea about what's causing this, please let me know.

Foremost, this is a great mod and I will now begin to refuse to play without it.
I do have a small issue/question. I've been playing Clockwork and the local map is mostly unusable within Nurndural's Hall of Elements. Unfortunately, I haven't checked anywhere else yet. What makes it unusable is the fact that a lot of the map is covered by a blue speckled texture (here is a screenshot).
From what I've been able to find, Skyrim generates the local maps in real time. But then how would anyone go about fixing this?

Great mod, kudos to the author!

Side note: the screen is taken with 1.1 version.

Or You can find LocalMapUpgrade.ini, and edit bImmersiveMode=1 to bImmersiveMode=0
