I liked the castle, however I am a bit disappointed, that there is not a single functional weapon rack, mannequin or display case. I was really hoping I can display my stuff out there.
I know what you mean. Think it could be possible to make the custom racks, you got in there as static objects functional? Also, I think it also could be possible to make a mannequin, that is by default in sitting position. Not meaning it as request list, but just showing interest in case you would consider refining this mod further.
If/when you do another update here is my observation. In Japanese culture indicated by the armor style, katanas, tatami beds, low tables, etc. There is almost always a Tokonoma, even in middle class homes, certainly in something like this. A Tokonoma is a special alcove dedicated to bringing nature, the seasons, and art into a place to meditate and contemplate. I am familiar with bonsai Tokonoma which feature a bonsai and companion plant or a rock, perhaps a suiseki. These are accompanied by a scroll that helps set the season or brings a touch of nature into the scene. They are Beautiful and would be an amazing addition to your home. I do not recall ever seeing one in the many Akavirii homes and for me that is immersion breaking. Just my two cents, but a consideration for new mods.
Not only in middle class, but in noble's homes as well. Tokonoma (you can often see it also called oshiita) as a feature developed from what initially was supposed to be a room for displaying treasures, but got reduced to an alcove. It came from Shoin-style, which itself originates in Heian era Buddhist monasteries and started being adopted by samurai and other Shogunate's officials with the beginning of Kamakura era.
As far as castles are concerned, I don't think there are many examples of tokonoma being found in rooms located in actual fortifications (such as castle towers). However you will encounter it a lot in castle lord's living quarters (goten) a lot. edit: completely forgot I had commented last September. Haven't been able to play Skyrim since then, just came back to it.
Beautiful, visually stunning, and well laid out; I felt like I was in a lord's private retreat. Loved the bathing area and the master bedroom (well located!) especially.
But... when I approached the Castle, three Forsworn were attacking the Wispmother and in the ensuing battle she either disappeared or was killed and fell down the mountainside. I used AddMenuItem to get the key.
In my extremely NOT humble opinion: #1 For this to be a viable player home it really needs to have all crafting stations. #2 For it to be a really good player home, it needs #1 plus either room for more followers (at least six), room for at least two children, or both. #3 For it to be a great player home, #1 plus room for at least six followers, and six kids with (Multiple Adoption support), and displays for armor/clothing, weapons, and artifacts (Claws, Aedric and Daedric amulets, etc.). Maybe the displays can be in their own space so they don't clash with the look of the rest of the castle? If it had at least #1, it would make a good home for one of my characters (a khajiit named Mewsashi; one-handed (katana and wakizashi), archer (yumi), unarmored).
May I suggest checking out Shiramichi Manor https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/66918 ? The problem I have with that home is its very remote location. I'm keeping your mod in my LO for screen archery (it really is beautiful!) and tracking to see what you change.
Depending on the kanji used it can mean golden spirit or golden ball(s) or testicles. Tamakin is a totally different word with another meaning for example.
Hello, I must say Superb Architecture...Bravo!!!! However, it not functional. Hopefully there can be a Hearthfire and Multiple Adoptions patches coming out soon. Also, can we get a wood chopping block a blacksmithy down in the stable area :-)
For example, The family quarters has 3 rooms that can work for 6 children if the beds were considered 2 beds. And specific chests were added to the rooms.
I liked the ingenuity of having the master bedroom as an exterior cell, but you also need a heat source in the room (maybe from the lamp that produces the light glow at night) so as to not suffer from the cold on Survival Mode.
Hello, I must say that I really like your mod. It's great, but in the High Fantasy Pack - Mihail Monsters and Animals mod, there is a goblin camp conflict inside your castle. Can you fix it with a patch or a small fix?
Ignor Chalazae, Id be happy to try to help you. If you know how to use xedit, you can see conflicts from there. Or in mod organizer. There are tutorials online, and if all else fails try removing the conflicting mod.
I really do see your point and put this way seem most logical, but I know I (If not most) would rather load 1 file. Right now, I have 15 mods using 32 blinking files due to a new updating trend. Just a thought. Thanks for modding!
