Just thought I would mention that for some reason when this mod is loaded and running on a Linux system playing the game using Proton/Wine, it appears there is a nasty memory leak/race condition or something that causes it to rapidly start consuming memory, at least for my system was about 200-300 megs a second until the system inevitably ran out of memory and either killed Skyrim or just sort of froze. Not entirely too sure what the issue is, though if I had to guess it might be that the apis that you are using to talk to the windows volume mixer aren't implemented the same on Proton/Wine, which is causing some kind of race condition in the plugin. Not too sure how best to help, just do know that having the plugin enabled in my system caused rapid memory loss, and just thought I would let you know.
Thank you, seems like a bug on Wine's part. Version 6 will refuse to load if on Wine. Not a ideal solution, but it's the best I can do considering the circumstances.
hey thanks for the update! just wanted to let you know that the file was marked as unsafe and was quarantined though unfortunately, wasn't sure if you were aware
Main difference would be that my mod is a lot less invasive (and in turn, more stable) - it uses the Windows volume mixer functionality to mute the game, instead of stopping/restarting the game audio engine. Better is subjective - it depends on what you want - extra functionality or stability.
Can I mix both mods if I simply disable that mods audio option? I would like the stability of this mod, but specifically the mousing over of the other mod.

edit : seems like restarting my pc fixes it. wtf??
