If you are using mods like Queen of the Damned - Deadlier Serana SE, this will override important npc records in Serana Anew's plugin. Mods that do will need to either be patched or Serana Anew's plugin will need to take priority.
If you are having issues, please try moving the mod to the bottom of your mod list and the plugin to the bottom of your load order.
If that doesn't work, when reporting an issue, please tell me exactly what options you picked when installing it. This will help me check the FOMOD on my end and help track any issues found much faster.
If you're having issues with a gap in the neck, that's a weight issue due to using another Serana replacer previously being used and the npc weight is baked into the save. You will either then need to use console commands to set her weight to the vanilla 20 that this replacer uses, or use the mod Save Unbaker.
If you send Serana off to get cured, remember to re-install the mod and select the cured version, otherwise you will have missing eye textures.
Version 1.1 has been uploaded. There is now an option for hair physics for both vanilla hair and vanilla hood with hair. So now all four hair options now have hair physics options!
The fixes included in this new version :
1. Fixed the issue with Main File 2 where if you selected the hair physics option, Serana's body would be invisible when undressed. 2. Potential fix has been implemented that will hopefully resolve the white hair issue as first reported by user Marcus8110. 3. Fixed issue with hoods with hair where the hair was duplicated due to having the long hair slot flagged in the armor entry in the plugin. It was causing the wig to be duplicated for unknown reasons.
To resolve the issue, the hood nif file was renamed from Hood_1.nif to Hood_2.nif.
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
However, due to the nature of the fix, if the end user has the Hood_1.nif as a loose file active in their mod list, it will cause a flashing artifact that will black out most of the screen. Make sure you do not have another Serana replacer that has hood with hair active like Trueblood Serana in your mod list or you will have this issue.
Version 1.2 uploaded, fixed the issue of the vanilla hair physics option requiring the original mod. It is now standalone as was originally intended with the last update.
Version 1.3 uploaded, fixed an issue with the skin tone RGB entry in the vampire plugins in both FOMOD's where the second skin tone entry was still using the vanilla RGB numbers instead of the ones that match the facetint.
Version 1.4 uploaded, fixed an issue where if the no hood with hair option is selected, Serana will appear bald when trying to wear her hood during the day.
I'm sorry for all the uploads, definitely not the smoothest first week for a mod I've uploaded, but it is what it is.
If you're using the mod Racial Skin Variance - SPID, and you've selected the any of the main hair physics options, Serana will appear bald as that mod overwrites the worn armor entry.
You will need to ban Serana in RSV's SPID to prevent this issue from occuring.
Queen of the Damned patches have been uploaded. There are two versions in the Optional Files section. One will only have Serana's NPC record entry in the plugin, the other will have Serana Anew + Pureblood Valerica in the NPC record entry in the plugin.
Each file has several archived files within, install with the mod manager of your choice, then select the file that matches your installed options.
Sometime in the future, I will provide a patch for Serana Anew + Valerica Anew (When this actually gets made)
The Red hair version of Main File 1 and 2 are now uploaded. There is also an update to the current FOMOD files as well. The vampire eye textures have been replaced with higher quality versions. The human eye textures have been updated with the better eyelash textures from the new vampire eye textures for consistency. The current facetints have also been replaced with a wider liptint version. This will fill in the mouth area better for the BnP skin textures, but still look great when using the Bijin skin textures.
For Main File 2, there is a Reverie Skin facetint option for those who use Reverie skin as their main skin textures. I noticed a couple of weeks ago when testing it that the current facetint's liptint didn't fill out the mouth area very well. Anyone that uses Reverie skin was basically SOL, so I decided to add that as an option.
Queen of the Damned patches for the Red hair version of the main FOMOD files have been uploaded, contains patches for both Original FOMOD's and Red hair versions.
As to a making a Valerica Anew replacer to complement this mod, maybe sometime in the future. M'aiq is tired now, lol. *Edit 2/20/25* Version 1.6 uploaded, addressing the issue with the Runaway hair physics option requiring the KS Hairdos - HDT SMP (Physics) mod to work. This issue was previously fixed and made standalone in version 1.2, but somehow the original Runaway hair physics XML files got re-added to the FOMOD files in version 1.5🙄
*Note* This replacer's body weight is at the vanilla setting of 20.
If you want Serana's glowing vampire eyes option to be brighter, you will have to open the facegen nif in NifSkope to make the glow brighter by increasing the Emissive Multiple setting as shown here :
Hi Dante, she looks beautiful in game ! However I have some doubts for clarification :-
1.Is she compatible out of the box with SDA or does she needs any patches especially for the spell toggle expanded feature in SDA ?
2.There is a Skypatcher version for the Queen of the Damned namely Queen of the Damned - Reimplemented which has patchless compatibility with all Serana replacers. If I am using that, can I ignore your QoTD patches ?
I've used it with SDA from day one without issue, however, for the spell toggle expanded feature she would indeed need a patch. I've never used that feature, and had actually forgotten about it until your post just now. Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now to make patches for that feature as I'm working on a project that is taking up all my free time.
In the meantime, end users will need to use xedit to make a patch for their installed Serana Anew plugin. Just keep in mind that if you cure her and install the cured version, you'll have to patch your installed cured plugin as well.
As to the Queen of the Damned - Reimplemented mod, according to the mod description, it should work out of the box since it uses Skypatcher to prevent it from overriding Serana replacer mods.
Is there a way to make Serana change her hairstyle on her own? whether its alongside her outfit switches (if using SDA's system) or after sleeping/X period of time? I like all the hairstyles in the FOMOD and it would be nice for them to be able to rotate or selected randomly and change in game
Hey , well you could install the original hair mods we used to add all the hairstyles ( you can found these mods link in the credit at the end of the description of this mod page ) . I think all these mod have a wig version so you could just give serana all the different wigs alongside the outfit you want in the SDA outfit system and so when she will change her outfit her hairstyles will change too .
Loving the mod, had a little trouble getting it working at first because of the brown-face bug but I fixed it by installing bijin skin textures separately. I don't know if it fully installed the way it was supposed to though since her face looks a little different than the screenshots (proportionally smaller than I expected based on the screenshots) and I also noticed that she doesn't blink at all. Is this normal?
Ok scratch that, it's running perfectly now after I gave it a day plus some more troubleshooting. Loving the mod and it's my favorite replacer for Serana since it sticks the closest to the vanilla look
Either file; EFA or no EFA, default everything except choosing vanilla (or any) physics hair + hood.
Fairly safe to say it's something on my end brosef. I've got it at the bottom of LO, etc etc, nothing else is touching serana or is otherwise overwritten. I thought it maybe was helmet toggle or anything else affecting slots but you're not using a wig are you?
The physics hair option places a physics enabled wig in the Serana body armor entry in the plugin. That's how we got around the limitation of not being able to have a physics hair with the facegens.
For the hair on the facegen, it's actually still there, but we set the alpha to 0 in nifskope to make it invisible on the head. So if something overrides that, she will indeed look bald.
WOODENKNIGHT can probably explain this better than I since it was his workaround that he came up with to make this option possible.
I've been using the mod for a while now with no issues, but after curing Serana, her eyes and eyelashes are purple missing textures. I know enough about modding to know there is most likely a mod conflict here, but I am unsure how I would determine which mod it is conflicting with. Mod Organizer does not show anything other than bodyslide output overwriting the mod. and the only other plugin in SSEEdit that edits Serana is USSEP. Help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I needed to re-install the mod and select the cured version. The textures were missing, not conflicting.
I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I actually like this version of Serana more than the Trueblood Serana version. This just works better imo, I can't explain it. Maybe it's because it looks like it fits both the Laura Bailey Serana and the Kerstyn Unger Serana right off the rip? Idk. I love it though, thank you for providing this to the community!
I'm glad you like the replacer. :) The screenshots were done by WOODENKNIGHT and I believe they use a modified version of the Cabbage ENB along with a pose mod.

EDIT I have banned her in RSV. Before I did that I had no hair or hood. Now I have and and hood, as long I don't talk with her

Solution is simple enough: ban her in RSV's SPID and you're golden!
*Edit* - Sticky post created, will add to it as needed
*Edit* - I added the link to the 4th sticky post above.
