I found her to be unpleasant. Her dialogue choices are weird as well.
Not sure what the developer was thinking about her personality traits that the dismissal line isn't "time to part ways" or something nicer like "I need to do something alone" (Astrid)... no no, for Caesia the dismissal line is "Time for you to go" as if you were speaking to someone who is intruding, and she reacts to it negatively. Clearly a design decision from the developer. I am not even sure that chasing a romance track would be fun. She LOVES gifts above 1000 gold... does a little dance and such. Sometimes even commenting that she could kiss you. She spouts out teasing comments about you being the Dragonborne, but when the dialogue permits romance focused interaction, she just dogs you.
Why bother adding the romance track if she is not built for it. If you had a particular vision for her personality/background that precludes romance, then dont add it. The whole situation felt gringy. I took her along for several game days, many dungeons, and it was a very unsatisfying effort of giving gifts and interacting on a regular basis just to get ignored(no new dialogue choices), or straight up rejected when those choices come up. I parked and reloaded her a few times... probably over 5 game days with her with no change to her dialogue or perceived change in disposition towards the player.
Regardless of my personal opinion, I know it takes a lot of work, and I thank you for it. And it seems like many folks love her style, good for them. But I am out.
Been testing Caesia for a bit and noticed some of her lines are silent, both random commentary and when I directly speak to her. Did this happen to anyone else?
hey man I know this is a silly question but, so the mod author is currently working on another mod that potentially opens up the option for marriage with her? Current meaning 4/10/2024? Or has the mod already been released
Use the NFF mod's Elope option under the Interaction category to "marry". No wedding ceremony, but, if you're using Flower Girls or similar mods, two dialog options will show up when speaking to her. None of the "Temple wedding" options such as cooking for you or the merchant role unless it's a vanilla "marriageable" NPC. You can "elope" with as many NPCs as you like and NFF will keep track of them. You can divorce an NFF "wife" which will make her angry and limit dialog choices for 4 game hours but after that she still has the same dialog options as before and, if she has already been assigned a home base, she will return and stay there after "cooll down". There are a few other advantages with NFF "marriage" as well. FYI: this works on Caesia as well, so, technically, you can "marry" her.
If I just continuously wait 24 hours in the same place can I progress through her romance or do I have to do a quest between her dialogues ? Does anybody know ?
I ran into a bug where her voiced dialogue does not match what she is actually saying (based on the subtitles). This occurred after (avoiding spoilers here) she describes her background and you ask for more information.
Is there a patch for this and/or is this indicative of a larger problem?
Although the version up on Bethesda net has her normal self in the screenshots, her model ingame is completely different. Is it severely out of date, or was changing her appearance to a bland vanilla NPC an intentional choice by the uploader over there?
Check on the "images" tab right here on this very anbeegod's page and this is how she looks in this "Nexus" version. Import a screenshot here but it might take a while before the owner validates it, or maybe go Discord: https://discord.gg/k9W3N3q
What race is Caesia supposed to be? (I've downloaded her, but haven't found her yet within the world, so I don't know if dialogue with her will reveal that.)
I was just trying to help you, while being first concerned to respect the author's will: "As time goes on and your friendship progresses, you may discover more about her - for now, I shall be silent about her background, as it awaits you to find out." anbeegod says you can find her at "That inn in Morthal" in the description. Being my favorite follower, I wouldn't limit her as an Imperial. And she can kill Imperials like she can kill anyone and anything around without a single thought. I don't know how to use that "spoiler" coding to hide what I just wrote, so take it as it is since you're requested it. She can be difficult to manage compared to other followers, AFT or not, clothing comes to mind first.
What's with her shoes? She won't wear any other shoes or boots that I give her, even when using Follower Live Package's outfit system. And her shoes look so silly imo.
Also, my goodness is she overpowered. At least for a low-level player. I'm level 24 and she's dropping enemies before I can even get to them. I might tell her to go chill while I level up for a while.
EDIT/UPDATE: Yep, she is so freaking overpowered I can't use her. We just went up against a level 77 dragon (playing with mods that make combat much more difficult), and she blasted him down to zero literally in 6 seconds. I got one crossbow shot off before it was dead. Such a pity b/c I was really curious to see who she was, but combat is one of my favorite parts of the game and I'm not giving it up just so I can try a 7-year-dead follower mod.
Definitely my favorite follower. She is: interresting, funny, crazy and mature at same time, know well the elder scrolls world, powerfull mage, beautiful, really nice voice acting, not annoying, can configure her interactions frequency by chatting with here. She's perfecltly matching with skyrim !

Edit: She's an Imperial, for anyone else who is wondering.

She would deserve an MCM or at least a "Find/Call Caesia" button. or spell"
