I've tried other katana mods, and this one is by far the most visually accurate, and most versatile (and I haven't even tried the spear-type weapons yet!). The hamon (wavy temper line) is there on the blades, the blades are mirror shiny, and not just from one small angle if you hold it just the right way. The handle wrapping has no unsightly gaps in the narrow part, the ray skin under-wrap has the little bumps, and all the fittings and how the sword comes together are all beautifully detailed. Even the mekugi, the bamboo pin though the handle that holds the tang of the blade in, is there! Also, the Fuudou tachi is actually a tachi, and is more than one hand's length longer, rather than being just a renamed two-handed katana. This is important if you want to use it for its intended purpose, on horseback, because the whole point is for it to be longer, so you can more easily reach your foes. I tested it while riding by a guard, and easily was able to give him a good chop as I passed. (Skyrim VR).
I also used the damage decreaser, Mod Manager version, so I always have the ability to go back and disable it, if I want to ensure anyone I cut down stays down (just be aware that you have to reforge them from scratch, so sell the ones you have before changing the mod). So a "Japanese" weapons mod written in Russian and made by Chinese... Seems legit.
