In order to apply the effect to all helmet variants, vanilla record texture sets had to be modified to include the environment mask and cubemap paths. In my large modlist I have no other plugins that modify these texture sets. However, it's not impossible, so there may be some mod out there that conflicts.
It was silver by personal choice, as I don't like the brown coloring that Lollygaggin uses. But I've added silver helmets as an option instead. By default now you'll get the brown/Dwemer coloring matching the original armors in the installer.
I've never used Improved Closedfaced Helmets. The meshes might need to be patched to enable environment maps, but I think the plugin would still be compatible as long as long as Improved Closedfaced Helmets still makes use of the vanilla texture sets.
Yeah, that's exactly what would need patching, and I just thought it'd be useful to have a publicly available patched version for people who use ICH (also I'm lazy)
