I tried this on Balgruuf, and of course, it doesn't work. Doesn't work on Irileth, or even Proventus. Maybe it's NOT compatible with Ordinator... Yes, I always add Perfect Touch to my character, since the mod Ordinator removes that perk, and uses something else.
The perk ID is: 58205 in case anyone is curious.

I'm not really sure what ordinator is, but the mod is really simple. all it does is remove a conditional from the perfect touch perk. Theoretically it should work with everything that doesn't change the perfect touch mod.

i feel like the reason it doesn't work in vanilla is so you don't get the unobtainable armors and nothing more such as general Tullius armor and falx Caius (that one might be because it looks weird without the heart stone )

I know that this mod isn't really new anymore, but I wanted to comment anyway.

    1. It does work with the original, non-SE Skyrim.

    2. While it allows me to steal from people like Jarls, Housecarls, Thieves Guild Master and the Greybeards, there are some NPCs that I still can't steal clothing and armor from, namely "normal" Thieves Guild members and Tonilia.

There are some armors that are unique in that they can't even be seen by the player. That may be the case, but really there isn't anything I can do about it that won't conflict with other mods. I'll look into it when I get some time.

Is there a way/mod to unequip/steal those unique armors which cant be seen, without console usage?  For example in Whiterun every single bagger and merchant is essential and if i do steal his/her clothes, they are still wearing them, but this time their clothes do not show up in their inventory again. Could it be fixed somehow?

      p.s.

Still thanks for a great mod

Well the point of this mod is to obtain special armors from essential npc's that you usually can't pickpocket. No offense but my priority is not having the ability to de-clothe every npc. There may be another mod for that, but this one is not it.

How did you install it? Manual or with a mod manager?

Also, it is possible that it's being overwritten by another mod if another mod edits the same file and is lower in the load order. Maybe try moving it lower in your load order and see if that works. I can also not guarantee that it will work on every essential npc, but it should work on most. I've been using it since I made it and haven't changed it once so I know it works, just need a few more details to know why it's not working for you. Try a jarl and if their clothes and weapons show up. If so, then it is in fact working; in which case it could be a special npc that has some other kind of protection.

I don't mod original, but this mod should work perfectly fine for the original game as it doesn't change much and what it does change should be the same in the original. So just download it manually and drop it in the data folder of your skyrim original directory and see if that works.
