Description
This mod is a collection of configurations for Light Placer created by myself and members of the Community Shaders Discord. These configurations are designed to be used with Community Shaders, the Light Limit Fix, and other lighting mods, offering better compatibility and customization.

Usage Instructions


  • Install the required mods as outlined above.
  • Download and install this mod via your preferred mod manager.
  • In the very first step of the FOMOD, you'll have three choices. One for LUX, one for Embers XD and one for Vanilla. Select only from the options that pertain to you. If you're using Lux, only select from the group listed for Lux, etc. The Lux configs work for Lux and Embers XD so if you're using both of those mods, only choosing from the Lux section will be enough.

Customization
  • Review the included JSON files, which are named according to their content.
  • Open the JSON files containing the settings you want to tweak.
    • Fade Parameter: Adjust brightness by increasing or decreasing the value.
    • Radius Parameter: Adjust light distance by modifying this value.
  • Save your changes and reload your game.
Notes

  • Avoid stacking multiple configurations for the same objects, as this can lead to overly bright lights.
  • Mixing with ENB Light: This is supported, but ensure you don’t double stack lights, which could cause excessive brightening.

Compatibility

  • Designed for use with Placed light any other interior lighting mods, provided that configurations are not stacked
  • LLF Particle lights instead of fake glow - places many particle lights based on billboard texture names, not recommended to use in combination with this mod
  • Particle Patch - places particle lights but they are per default inactive when using latest Community Shaders, so compatible (if no pp_black.ini was created manually)
  • ENB lights for effect shaders - places lights for effect shaders, overlaps with "Magic FX lights" option
  • Any mod that places ENB lights like More lights for ENB SE - Glowing mushrooms - compatible if the option in the installer is not used, otherwise double lighting
  • ENB light - many overlaps so there will be double lighting if the options in the installers are not carefully checked against each other. With the current version of light placer it is not possible to place lights for explosions,projectiles, hazards and impacts, so those effects won't overlap currently
  • Luminous Atronachs - CS light does not place lights for atronachs, so fully compatible
