Allows the user to scale in-game NPC's attributes and damage relative to player's level.
- This allows you to make weak enemies that are lower level than the player stronger, and enemies that are higher level weaker.
- Works via Synthesis and SPID.
- Compatible with everything. Can be installed mid-game but make sure your happy with your settings before do that.
- 100% Scriptless
You can adjust the following characteristics for all NPCs in the game via Synthesis:
- Health/Magicka/Stamina increased/decreased relative to Player's Level.
- Armor and Magic Resist increased/decreased relative to Player's Level.
- Weapon Damage increased/decreased relative to Player's Level.
- Destruction Spell Damage increased/decreased relative to Player's Level. (A separate, non-customizable Shout addon is available too).
- Creature Damage increased/decreased relative to Player's Level.
Moreover, these changes are dynamic so when the player levels up, already spawned-in NPCs will have their stat adjusted accordingly. Additionally, it is all accomplished without papyrus, so the effect is instantaneous.
Additionally the patcher has specific options for "Boss" NPCs and Dragons if you want to balance them differently.
- To qualify as a "Boss", the NPC simply needs the madStatScalerBoss keyword. By default, this is given to all NPCs level 40 and above via the SPID ini. (Especially in Requiem, those NPCs are all bosses).
- Additionally, In the patcher there is a setting Boss and Dragon: Max Level Diff. I couldn't come up with a good name for it, so I'll try to explain what it does here. Basically, the number you put for that setting decides the max amount a boss/dragon will be punished by Dynamic Stat Scaler. By default it is at 40. This means that if you are Level 1 and facing a level 80 Dragon, it will only remove 40 levels worth of health from the dragon instead of 79. And once the player is level 40, the dragon will be at full power and won't receive and buffs/debuffs.
Beyond developing it, I don't personally plan to use this patcher so you will need to figure out a good balance to the settings on your own.
By default, the patcher is set to:
- Buffs: +1 per level difference when the NPC is lower level than the player.
- Debuffs: -1 per level difference when the NPC is higher level than the player.
Once you are at good spot with the settings, you don't need to run the patcher again, even if you add new mods. All the Synthesis patcher does is adjust the mod's settings. SPID is what does the actual distribution and will detect all NPCs automatically. Think of the patcher itself like an out-of-game MCM menu.
How to Use.
1. Install SPID and Synthesis. Here is a guide to install Synthesis.
2. Download and install the main file. Enable madDynamicStatScaler.esp.
3. Install the "madDynamicStatScaler" Synthesis patcher via Synthesis itself or the Synth file under optional files.
4. Adjust settings to your liking in Synthesis and Patch.
5. Enable the .esp Synthesis outputs and your good to go.
For installation via Synthesis follow these photos:
