    This is useful.  I'm using version 0.6 hotfix.  However, with Quick Loot, it's easy to distinguish things.  Such a pity.  Looking forward to more updates.

    Yeah, no. This mod's great, but if you play with a controller -- even with auto input -- you might as well just put down your controller until the Mimic spits you out. Doesn't matter what buttons you push, what MCM settings you use, you're not allowed to do the minigame to escape. Period.

      Did you start a new game for this mod? Or did you add it midway through? What version in the baka installer are you using the nemesis or fnis version? Also the version here on nexus or the one on baka's subscribestar?

    I have tried to get this mod to work for a week now but to no avail. Regardless of TNTR version 0.47, 0.5 or 0.6 , every time the Mimic starts its animation but not the player character. Neither mod installation with FNIS nor Pandora changes this (been using Pandora for a long time now and never had notable issues with it).
    However, this problem might come from TNTR itself. No matter which TNTR version, some "bakatrapzone"  Mimics work  consistently how they are supposed to (both Mimic/PC play related animation) while others have the same problem as mentioned at the beginning. I do wanna note that version 0.6 has the most working chests in the Test zone while 0.5 has a lot of Mimics that fail to start the PC animation.

    This is a shot in the dark but might it be that this mod also replaces chests with those "faulty" Mimics? This would also explain some user's reportings of invisible mimic chests as I do remember the bakatrapzone having those as well. 

    While writing this I realize something else I could still test which I'll do later when I get the time. If I find something that could provide further insight into the issues, I'll give an update

      any help you need? I've been trying to get this mod to work too, my working theory has been that it only works with fnis since the mod author said they used 0.5 which doesn't work well with nemesis. But for obvious reasons I didn't want to abandon using nemesis's mco anim mods.

      I use it with Pandora and it works just fine, so whatever the issue is, FNIS isn't it.

    So I did some testing, this mod is broken. The animations work in baka test room but not for any chests made by this mod. This is disappointing if I can be honest, I think it should be said in this mod's description that its broken.

      problem found when installing this mod on your end doens't mean this mod is broken.. as you can see in the description there is moving pic showing how the trap works

      does it work with version 6.2? Also look at the other comments everyone is struggling with this mod, I have nothing against this mod I tried getting this mod to work so hard cause I love the idea. I'm just saying that looking into these problems and making this mod work would make everyone happy. Sorry if I seemed rude I was just annoyed after trying to get this to work for hours. Oh also what version do you recommend the nemesis or fnis when installing? I saw you said this is for 0.5 are you aware that version is broken and shatters nemesis engine? That's why I said you might wanna know this only works with fnis.

      this mod is made for v 0.5.. you're right about nemesis has problem, but as far as i have tested the only problem found was the male character stuck on looping animation and ctd.. v 0.62 has not released on nexus.. It's alright i may check this mod again when i have time and the tntr update too while at it

      No problem! I was just salty at the time trying to get mod to work lol, glad to hear you'll try to fix this when you can. Ill happily test it if you update it.

    The animation works, but I can't see the chest. I noticed that the word "open" was in the dungeon. The test chest is perfectly fine.

      I solved it myself. Only Shroud Hearth Barrow had broken chests. Mimics were properly placed in other dungeons as far as I could tell.

      Hmm weird the chests I've been using as tests are ones spawned anywhere but most recently one spawned in the overworld, regardless happy you got it to work! Do you use 0.62 and if you do do you use the nemesis or fnis version?

      So you don't use nemesis then since 0.5 is known to break nemesis so my theory of fnis only working seems more probable.

    Does this mod replace existing chests?  I have modded chests and they are not being replaced by the Baka chest.  My PC is affected and goes throught the motions of the Mimic but chest never opens and I never see the mimic.  All of the acitivty occurs outside the chest on the ground or on top of the chest.  I did try and read the comments but could not find the answer.

    FIXED:  I'm not sure how but I'm going to share what I did.  The original chest that failed to show the animations was a modified chest with no esp. Basically a texture replacer.  I have 4 chest replacers in my game to provide variety.  The modified textured chest was what was showing during my failed test. I loaded the updated .6 version of Baka's TNRT.  When loading TNRT I selected Nemesis.  I reloaded the game after running FNIS and then Nemesis.  (Normal process for me as I have mods that require both) The TNRT checkbox was available in Nemesis and I selected it.   The chest was replaced in game with the BAKA chest but it would not activate when selecting the chest.  NO Mimic.  I reloaded the .5 version of TNRT.   This time I selected FNIS when loading the mod.  I re-ran  FNIS and then Nemesis.  The TNRT checkbox was not available in Nemesis.  The chest activated as is it should with the Mimic and the complete animation was visible.  After or during the end, it spewed my armor all over the area.  I was nearly naked at the time  of the chest activation so I only lost a few items.   AIM to the rescue.   

    I have tried this mod before but after the inital failure, I disabled it and restarted so I could play.  This time I was determined to find out how to make it work in may game and found a location through xEdit where a Mimic chest was located.  This was where my testing occured.  I do not know if chests are replaced other than the locations specified in xEdit which were mostly common dungeons, caves, etc.  If there is a random chest replacer feature, I have not observed it yet.  Level 19 at the time of this test.    Just wanted to share that this mod did work for me after selecting FNIS instead of Nemesis and re-running them both.

       Sorry you are having trouble.  I had it working for one game.  I followed my own method of setting it up and its not working now with v5 TNRT.  It may be due to my chest replacers.

      I tested what you did with 0.5 and it didn't work with the chests spawned by this mod but the trap room worked, also I have no chest replacers. I truly think this mod does not work especially since 0.5 breaks nemesis so I think this mod only works if you only use fnis and fnis alone.

    I'm using the 6.2 version of tntr and this mod spawns the chests but than they just make my character stand still. I checked the tntr box in nemesis as well, I am going crazy trying to get this to work.

    Hey, this is a really cool mod :) Just one thing though, is that I noticed that if I hover over the chest it gives the prompt "open chest" but with a real chest it only says "chest". Would be nice to change it to be the same prompt, don't know if it's only that way for me though.

    I saw that factory released an emergency update 0.6 to fix 0.5 and was wondering when it would be up here on nexus or if on another site? I have no money for the subscribestar so I just wanted to know if anyone knew when it was coming?

    will this work for any Nif swapped chest or do I have to revert those chests back to vanilla? I use a mix of Medieval chests and SMIM and have not ran into a BOS swapped chest as of yet.

    I remember reading that alt texture paths will mess BOS up
