Installation onto an ongoing playthrough is not recommended. Experience will be better if installed into a brand new game as this mod utilizes global variables to track specific events and dialogue choices.
ABOUT
Feris is a custom-voiced follower, a dual-wielding rogue and true neutral in alignment. To add her to your Skyrim adventures, seek her out in Whiterun’s Bannered Mare and bump into her to begin the journey. She is a work in progress.
She was born in Riften and grew up under cruel hands, learning that survival would only be hers if she fought for it. When life seemed to have taken a turn for the better, the path grew just as muddy as her past and once again she was exposed to the whim of bitter winds. She delights in simple thing,s for she has never had much, and has been convinced through experience that trusting in others is dangerous. Why would someone form an alliance with her, if not to make use of her life for their own gain? Reliance has only earned her hardship, so travelling with Feris will give you the opportunity to either sway her from this belief and offer hope that a friend is worth the risk, or further convince her that her childhood beliefs are well-founded. It's difficult to let down your guard when you've learned that vulnerability invites a sting. Having self-autonomy is important to Feris, and she will claw to maintain that control as much as she can. Threatening this control never turns out well for anyone.
She will not add to your follower count, she is on her own custom framework. The vision was to create a simple follower capable of blending into vanilla Skyrim without too much dissonance. Mostly to see if it was possible to learn how. The hope is that this mod will add to your Skyrim experience in a positive way, however little or large, and for however long she walks at your side.
In terms of this mod's development, I am unable to devote as much time to it as desired. Thus, any updates that come will happen when they happen.

- Feris levels up with the Player Character. Skills begin at 15 except for One-Handed (20), Two-Handed (25), Light Armor (20) and three others.
- Progressing through the Main questline and others, making decisions and spending time with Feris will unlock new dialogue.
- Do not use follower tweaking mods to influence this mod. It will break.
- NPC appearance replacers/retextures will sometimes conflict with this mod.
- Feris is not romanceable. I do not condone the use of third party mods to alter this. Your waifu is in another castle.
- Known conflicts: Improved Camera SE - affects Feris in a way that she will no longer fight. New save recommended before installing mod.

Feris is written, voiced, and created by myself, Lirinden. I do not endorse nor approve of replacers made that change her skin colour and ask that if you're thinking of creating a replacer for her, to please reach out to me first. I'd prefer there be less rather than more out of the desire for more people to know her as she is intended to be rather than changed. There is beauty in the unremarkable.
Please report any bugs, glitches or inconsistencies you may experience. I will do what I can to troubleshoot with my small knowledge. This is my first mod, I'm learning new things every time I open Creation Kit. I appreciate your patience while I work things out amongst life's chaos. Thank you in advance for trying her out.
