Do you want a simple follower with a real presence in combat?
Meet Robyn Direnni; an Adept-level Ice-Destruction swordmage equipped with spells from almost all schools of magic! A female Breton with a real presence in combat, lore that is open to interpretation, and none of the issues that vanilla followers suffer from.
Robyn Direnno follows a similar fighting style to that of Teldryn Sero's except she also has excellent marksmanship and stealth skills so she's not useless when she pulls out a bow (which followers sometimes do even if they're not inherent archers) and she won't trigger traps nor disturb enemies when you're trying to sneak.
Robyn Direnno is a custom follower designed using only Skyrim.esm and Dragonborn.esm files so she's completely vanilla. As of right now, Robyn uses standard follower dialogue (no custom voice) and has no Quests attached to her. She is fully compatible with follower dialogue mods. This is my very first mod but I have spent a lot of time balancing, and developing, her and I very much appreciate all the support and/or constructive feedback I have received.
Robyn Direnno 1.0 can be found wandering near the Apprentice Stones in Hjaalmarch where she will be readily available to recruit.
Robyn Direnno 1.2 (and any further installments) can be found at The Frozen Hearth Inn in Winterhold where she will be readily available to recruit, marry and/or hire as a steward for any of your Hearthfire homes.
NOTE: You will need the "Total Character Makeover" mod, created by Scarla, if you want Robyn to look like she does in the picture. Any other face/body overhaul mods will also work.
CAUTION!
Downloading an update for this mod whilst you have an older version installed?
If you have married Robyn Direnno and/or assigned her as a steward, you will have to divorce her and/or release her stewardship (either with another mod or console commands) before downloading an update. Before downloading the update, make sure you retrieve any gear or items you may have given her before completing the following instructions:
Dismiss her if she's following you.
Save your game.
Exit to Main Menu.
Disable the mod from your in-game mod menu.
Load into your last save.
Save your game once more (preferably a new save, just in case).
Exit to Desktop (Quit the game).
Download the mod update (if you haven't yet).
Open the game.
Enable the mod from your in-game menu.
The same procedure applies if you want to use the "updated" Robyn in older save files, just make sure not to overwrite your older save files with your newer save files.
