I honestly have no idea. I've been getting complaints that this mod causes an NPC called "Sinding" to randomly appear in the room you load into when you start a new game using Alternate Start, which makes no sense since this mod relies only on the vanilla Skyrim.esm and Dragonborn.esm files that make up her perks and equipment -- no other interactions involved.
Even so, maybe telling people this mod is incompatible with Alternate Start simply because of a small bug (that likely doesn't affect everyone) may be an exaggeration. So I've removed that notice from the description. If the problem is reported again, I will list it in the "bugs" section.
EDIT: I should add though that this particular bug was reported before v2.0 so it's quite likely to have resolved itself -- that is, if that bug is inherently caused by this mod specifically. You never know with Bethesda's awkward programming.
I have tried this mod again and again on PS4 but I can not get it to work though Robyn shows up I keep getting a man named Nor that will follow me to the ends of the Earth. He's unkillable and doesn't ever say anything to me, except "huh?" and "Out with it." As if he's a normal NPC I do not understand. Could I get some clarification please.
So Robyn shows up without any issues but this "Nor" character keeps popping up whenever you enable this mod? Can I have a list of all the mods you're using on Ps4?
I've downloaded her for my PS4. It said, you will need the 'Total Character Makeover' mod, if you want Robyn to look like the picture. I've tried searching for that mod, but nothing came up. Do you know another mod that will work? Thanks.
Sorry to disappoint but it seems Scarla has not made their mod available on Bethesda.net, I simply assumed that they would given its popularity. I'm afraid you'll have to look for alternatives, I'll have a browse myself and let you know if I come up with anything. Though I hope you'll come to like Robyn regardless of this. But thank you for giving me a heads up, I'll update the mod desc. accordingly.
By any chance, is Robyn's face completely dark? Because that shouldn't be the case even if you don't have the "Total Character Makeover" mod.
UPDATE: After a bit of research, I've found that the "gray face" bug seems to be the result of modding limitations on the Ps4 so I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about it as of right now.
But please do report this bug if you find it on any other platform! Thank you.
Hey thank you for creating this follower!! Its always nice to have vanilla followers that fit the lore. Looking forward to more improvements and your work :)
She has a static level of 150 so she can have access to all the perks she's equipped with as soon as you start the game. As a result, the stats you see on the desc. page are permanent -- they will not change throughout your entire playthrough so the rest is all up to what type of weapons and armour you equip her with.
Hey ! That's a nice follower, but I'm slightly "confused" about the lore behind your character :
Her name is Robyn "Direnni", the Direnni being what is left of the huge elven hegemony of the 1st Era, a clan of powerful elven mages living on the Isle of Balfiera and inside the Adamantine (/Direnni) tower (In High Rock).
She wears psijic robes and is "A remnant of Psijic Order", the Psijic Order being a group of mages living on the Isle of Artaeum (Summerset Isles), mostly composed of altmer(60~70%), bosmer and dunmer (20~30%) and other races (10%).
And despite all of her backstory screaming "HIGH ELF" she appears to be human. I'm not saying it's impossible (she could be a breton, whose genealogy would be mixed with members of the Direnni clan, who would have taken the name "Direnni" despite being human, and would then have been accepted into the elven Clan and sent to the heavily selective Psijic Order) but it seems so unlikely I'm wondering if that really is the most appropriate or suitable race for your backstory.
No, you're completely right! I'm still working on her backstory as I'm studying Elder Scrolls lore, feel free to drop me suggestions or help me out. About the Direnni bloodline though, the Elder Scrolls Wiki says that its a clan of both Altmer and Breton merchants -- not only Elven. Is there something I'm missing?
For now, I updated her short description from "a remnant of the Psijic Order" to "previously affiliated with the Psijic Order" until further notice. Thanks for taking the time to review my mod by the way, I sincerely appreciate it.
The wiki is either garbage or taken directly from the uesp, so you should only trust the uesp my friend. Or the french equivalent "La Grande Bibliothèque de Tamriel", but I'm just going to assume you're not french and translate the first words : "The Direnni Clan is an Altmeri Clan".
The Elder Scroll Wiki is a bit less... inclined towards quality-control than the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (not that UESP is perfect, but I've seen the TES Wikia state assumptions as fact a bit more often). The Direnni certainly were an Altmer-only clan at one point (and the Castellans of Balfiera were 'the only known Elven ruling family remaining in human lands' in the late Second Era), but on the other hand, they near created the Bretons with their mannish intermingling, and they are known to have had Breton lovers in relatively modern times. EDIT: And I was swordsage'd in the interim. Ah well.
Seems you're right, I'll have to rethink Robyn's character (and likely name too) then. Thanks @HappyB3 and @Lord1 and feel free to drop any suggestions as to Robyn's background and lore.
UPDATE: Maybe I won't have to rethink her character after all. I removed any background description from the mod desc. page and added two lore-relevant books to her inventory.
A Breton with an Elven surname and Psijic apparel? The ball's in your court now, have fun! ^_^
If you want her to be killeable by the player it's Protected you need to check rather than Essential. With Essential checked she'll just enter bleedout state when her health reaches a certain point
On my spellsword follower I didn't bother with archery skill since she never chose to use bows due to her ranged magic attacks. No idea if that works 100% of the time though or if it's due to the mods I used. So that was a smart workaround
The term Custom follower, that could be mistaken for a follower that comes with textures and stuff. But according to the description she is vanilla only. But tbh, Idk what else to put hehe. Sorry if I'm annyoing you
Dude, I appreciate it! I'm new to all this so I'm glad you took the time to review my mod and help me. Thanks for the heads up about the term "Custom Follower" and the difference between "Protected" and "Essential".
Okay, so I asked some friends what they use and for followers that use custom textures and/or meshes you call them standalone. So that would make Robyn non-standalone.
That works too I think. The name is included in the title so they shouldn't be able to mistake it for a vanilla npc edit . Vanilla-style follower would probably just make it confusing
If she has a custom voice (either modified vanilla voices or a voice actor), you'd want to say so in the title or description. If she has custom ai, you'd want to identify that with standalone in the title. If she has some quests attached to her fleshing out her background and creating a story for her in Skyrim, you'd want to identify that in the title as well. Otherwise it's not really necessary.

But keep going, that's a good mod nonetheless !
