Some others say Ulfric "shouted him to pieces" or "ripped him asunder". The Empire and a number of the Jarls, however, viewed the killing of Torygg not as the result of an honorable duel, but as regicide, due to the fact that Torygg was young and had only limited martial training, while Ulfric was a war veteran wielding the power of the thu'um, and moreover, that the duel had been Ulfric's first choice of action, rather than diplomacy.

Many of these stories are believed to be hyperbole or outright fabrications. Shalidor stood at the forefront of a movement to enact higher standards among mages, and to discourage spell use among the common castes. This effort is dubiously credited with the original organization and formation of the schools of magic (Vanus Galerion is also often credited with the creation of the schools of magic) and the foundation of the College of Winterhold.Shalidor eventually holed himself up in Labyrinthian, where he constructed the namesake labyrinth to test new archmages, and devoted all of his time to research and study. He was a prolific writer, perhaps most notably with the 36 Lessons, a series of cryptic texts widely open to an incredible amount of speculation and conjecture, primarily to act as a guide for the prophesized Nerevarine. For hundreds if not thousands of years, he mostly resided at the pinnacle of his Palace in the city to which he lent his own name, Vivec. He, along with Ysgramor and his brother, fled back to Atmora.
After returning to Atmora, Ylgar was already known as a warrior possessed of an unwavering spirit that drove his singular prowess to overwhelming feats in war. Ylgar sought to avenge to his fallen brothers and sisters so joined the Five Hundred Companions, led by his father. He commissioned two ships for himself and his brother and became the captain of Darumzu. Yngol and Ylgar sailed out of the massive shipyards of Jylkurfyk, not knowing that this was the last time they would meet.
Yngol(Nord)
-Yngol was the son of Ysgramor and older brother of Ylgar. He was a brave strategist who defeated enemies before they even knew the battle had begun. He was also purportedly the greatest blacksmith the Atmorans had ever known.
After the human city of Saarthal was sacked by the Elves, in an event known as the Night of Tears, Yngol fled back to Atmora with his father and brother.According to Nordic myth, he forged Wuuthrad, Ysgramor's legendary battleaxe, on the deck of the fleeing ship the same night and presented it to his father.
After returning to Atmora, Ysgramor sent Yngol and his brother to recruit the bravest warriors of the land and form the Five Hundred Companions. During the Return, he commanded a ship called the Harakk, but it was lost during the Storm of Separation just before they arrived at Hsaarik Head. It was eventually found along the shore, but Yngol was dead. It was a devastating loss to the Five Hundred Companions. It is said that Ysgramor wept in his grief and slew a dozen beasts, burning them in honor of his fallen son. A barrow-hill was dug in the Atmoran tradition, and Yngol was laid to rest with rites and honors among his clansmen far below the rocky face of Hsaarik Head, the first of the Children of the Sky to perish in Tamriel.Yngol's resting place ultimately determined the placement of Windhelm and the Palace of the Kings, as Ysgramor wanted to be able to view his son's resting place from the windows of his palace.
Ysgramor(Nord)
-Ysgramor (sometimes Ysgramoor), known as Ysgramor the Invader and "the harbinger of us all", was an Atmoran who came to Tamriel before recorded history as a refugee fleeing civil war in Atmora. He is generally regarded as the first human ruler, and king, of Skyrim.
Some Elven scholars insist Ysgramor was responsible for unspecified "provocations and blasphemies" that led to the genocide known as the Night of Tears, when the human settlement Saarthal was attacked by the Snow Elves and all humans purportedly were slain except Ysgramor and his two sons, Yngol and Ylgar, though some scholars believe this attack was unprovoked. Ysgramor fled back to Atmora, gathered the legendary Five Hundred Companions, then sailed back to Hsaarik Head and drove the Elves from Skyrim and Solstheim, cementing himself as a "culture hero" of the Nords. He wielded the axe Wuuthrad in battle and rode upon a Storm Atronach Bear conjured for him by his personal Clever Man, Alabar the Oddly-Colored.
Since he is the first known human to transcribe Nordic speech using Elven principles of writing, Ysgramor is credited with being the first human historian.Because of his exploits, he is known as "the first Harbinger, the first Man, [and] the bringer of Words", and the modern-day Companions still revere him as their only true leader.[ His progeny ruled Skyrim until 1E 369, when the death of King Borgas brought an end to his direct line of known heirs. However, his bloodline survived, and he is still believed to be the wellspring from whom all Nordic kings are descended.

He submitted Skyrim to a fiery reinstatement of the traditional Nordic pantheon, destroying Alessian temples and forcing the remnants of its priesthood to seek refuge in the Heartland. He was also famed for driving the Direnni clan out of Skyrim.
Legends claim that an evil god once made him (and all of Skyrim) into children, and when Wulfharth found a way to cure his people, he inadvertently made himself extremely old and died (for the first time). He led the invasion of Resdayn (modern-day Morrowind) and fought at the Battle of Red Mountain, where he was killed again.
During the Interregnum, he was revived yet again by either Almalexia or The Skald-King Jorunn to fight against the Akaviri invaders of Skyrim and Morrowind. Though his official story ends here, The Arcturian Heresy claims that Wulfharth reincarnated as the Ash-King following this battle, an undead warrior bent on destroying the Mer and ruling Tamriel.

Zurin Arctus(Breton)
-Zurin Arctus (also known as the Underking, or by his Breton name Arnand the Fox) was a human spellcaster in the late Second Era, and the Imperial Battlemage of Tamriel under Emperor Tiber Septim. By some accounts Arctus was the most powerful mage who ever lived. He was responsible for activating Numidium, a powerful construct used by the Emperor in his conquest of Tamriel, by placing his "heart" (life force) into a massive soul gem. Arctus later regretted his actions and destroyed the automaton, but was killed in the process before being able to reclaim his heart. He reappeared later as an undead entity known as the Underking, though The Arcturian Heresy instead attributed the title to Ysmir Kingmaker. In Cyrodiil, Zurin is sometimes associated with the mage-god Magnus.
