Stages of Suffering - An SKSE Death Alternative

Stages of Suffering is an immersive SKSE-based mod that redefines death in Skyrim by introducing a progressive injury system. Instead of dying and reloading, your character sustains wounds of increasing severity each time they fall in battle. These injuries impact gameplay, affecting your combat effectiveness. Recovering from wounds requires resting in a safe area, incentivizing the player to return to town to recover from their adventures. How long can you endure before your suffering becomes insurmountable?

Dying
When your Health is reduced to 0, you will be briefly granted the Ethereal status effect and nearby enemies will be disengaged from combat and fully healed, giving you the opportunity to run away.

As punishment for dying, every death will apply a random Minor Injury to the player. If you die while under the effect of a Minor Injury it will progress to a Moderate Injury. If you die while under the effect of a Moderate Injury, it will progress to a Severe Injury. These injuries can be cured by sleeping in a safe place for at least 8 hours (or optionally with cure disease potions if you edit the included KID file).

Injuries
Injuries in Stages of Suffering are designed to target specific attributes. At the time of release, there are four different injuries (each with three stages), debuffing the player in specific ways.

Spoiler:
Show
Chest Injury
Bruised Ribs: Your Stamina recovers 25% slower.
Fractured Ribs: Your Stmaina recovers 50% slower and you spend 25% more Stamina while power attacking or drawing a bow.
Shattered Sternum: Your Stamina recovers 75% slower and you spend 50% more Stamina while power attacking or drawing a bow.

Head Injury
Minor Concussion: Your Magicka recovers 25% slower.
Severe Concussion: Your Magicka recovers 50% slower and your spells cost 10% more Magicka.
Broken Mind: Your Magicka recovers 75% slower and your spells cost 25% more Magicka.

Leg Injury
Sprained Ankle: Your Movement Speed is reduced by 5%.
Torn Ligament: Your Movement Speed is reduced by 10% and sprinting consumes 50% more Stamina.
Broken Leg: Your Movement Speed is reduced by 20% and sprinting consumes twice as much Stamina.

Organ Injury
Deep Wounds: Your Health recovers 25% slower.
Infected Wounds: Your Health recovers 50% slower and healing spells and potions are half as effective.
Necrotic Wounds: Your Health recovers 75% slower and healing spells and potions have no effect on you.

*Note that injuries affect Rate (often referred to as "base" regeneration) and not RateMult (what the game often calls "regen" or "regeneration").
**The sprint stamina consumption debuff only works with Blade and Blunt or other mods that utilize similar keywords for stamina consumption while sprinting, because I am lazy and forgot to make the effect work on the vanilla game's method of handling sprint stamina.
