There seems to be quite the confusion about this so I will try to clear things up:

    • Precision is fully compatible and recommended alongside it.
    • Dynamic Impacts is not as dynamic as it's name would suggest. Contrary to this mod
impact effects with "Dynamic Impacts" do not change depending on hit location. With that mod, if a target has a heavy armor in the Body slot, all hits on that target will make armored noises, even the hit locations that are unprotected will create sparks or metal sounds. "Dynamic Impacts" is simply all or nothing, if a target has a heavy body armor all hits against that target make heavy armor sounds, if the target has a cloth body armor all hits against that target will create flesh sounds - even if you hit their heavy armored legs hands or helmet.

Amazing mod through and through, can't imagine playing without anymore. However, I have one minor complaint. Arrows bouncing off heavy armor is such a cool idea but if you are an archer, or have an archer companion (like Auri), floor gets littered with arrows after fighting a few enemies in heavy armor. A customization option to make those non-pickable and/or fade out in time would be amazing.

If arrow material type was factored in then that could mitigate your problem, like Daedric arrows always pierce through orcish armor and lesser.

This could become the next "true armor" without the script nightmare

I was wondering the same... will this be overlapping features with the upcoming (and highly anticipated) mod from @Seb263 ??

Using with Dynamic impact slash effect X and works well so far, just a small problem: When blunt weapon(e.g. warhammer) hits heavy armor, it plays a slash effect instead of a blunt effect, but hitting flesh plays the blunt effect without issue.
I understand that the problem may be caused by dynamic impact slash effect mod, not this one. Just want to see if someone here knows how to solve this issue.
Great mod by the way, combat never feels so impactful.

Dynamic Impact - Slash Effects X by novon1 adds some nice visual effects to werewolf attacks that seems to be conflicting with this mod.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Love love love this mod. Paired with the mod Conditional Armor Type Animations, heavy armour finally feels like i'm wearing solid metal. Endorsed!

My anti-virus flagged a file in this mod as a trojan, probably a false alarm, but I felt I should just put that information out there, just in case.

The mod only contains a .json file which isn't an executable. It's a false positive. Everyone can open the .json file with notepad to see that it does not contain any malicious code (not even executable code).

For some reason hitting any npc, whether armored or not produces sparks and makes a heavy armor sound

How does this interact with something like Audio Overhaul which changes weapon impact sounds? I suppose there is no conflict to patch, since this mod injects its changes at runtime, but its unclear to me how these two mods would interact

It works, all it does is change the sound of the hit (e.g. hitting armor)
