1. If you can't see the power, then either the mod is not activated or maybe it failed giving you the power. In that case you can add it to yourself by using console commands.
First run the command help mirror to see the code of the VR Mirror power spell.
then run player.addspell POWERCODE to add the power.
You should now see the power in the Powers list.
If the "help mirror" command doesn't list "A VR Mirror Power" then the mod isn't activated.
2. If the game crashes when using the power, then you probably have another mod installed that is causing it as the power basically just calls the standard ShowLimitedRaceMenu function. Try disabling mods that you think might be causing the issue. There might be other causes to the crashes so if you find out let us know. Personally I'm using it with a pretty long list of mods including many that modify the character faces, so in general compatibility should be pretty good.
I seem to be getting the same results as FlowyJerm, below. It just has this brief fade in/fade out effect, I guess a camera reset, but nothing else happens. I tried placing it as a late loader in Vortex, but no improvement. As far as I know I have all of the racemenu tools that would be called up. I have racemenu, racemenu compatibility all-in-one, and racemenu VR.
I got it working. Even though they were the latest versions, I went ahead and reinstalled racemenu and racemenu VR. Along the way, i discovered that my racemenu high heels fix was majorly outdated, and not supported anymore, so I got rid of that as well. Now the mirror works just fine.
Is there ANY possible way to fix my character very frequently staring straight down or up when I use the VR Mirror power? I love it and it's a great mod but a lot of people here seem to have the same issue. I've tried activating it with my Index controllers in different positions, keeping my headset straight ahead...nothing seems to remedy this problem, and I'd like to view my character properly.
FYI, if you are using the amazing body mod, VRIK, it has a mirror feature that can be turned on in its MCM where you can raise your hand in the air to see yourself, then raise it again to dismiss the mirror.
See now this is great info. Just what I needed to know. Saw a showcase video for the Vibrant Alteration spells. And just couldnt figure how they were using that mirror image thing..
I don't recall offhand, but some of the config screens for VRIK and other mods have a scrollbar on the right. Arrow down with the control stick to reveal more options. I think it's at the bottom of one of the VRIK screens.
Bring up your save/load menu (button may vary depending on your controller) and the MCM option should be there, which will have options for all your mods that include an MCM.
is it possible to rotate the camera and see the pg from vary angles?I bind vr mirror to a gesture in vrik but the only thing I get it's to see my pg that throws the head way back and looks up standing front
Thank you for making this mod! It works perfect and easy to adjust my character look in vr. I don't adjust my character look often, but whenever I use it to check her gear appearance every time the spell works with no issue! It's great knowing whenever I decide to alter character able to do it without hunting down a npc. ^-^
hello I am having a very annoying issue when I have the console open it constantly shows messages saying "Player Left Spell set to A VR Mirror Power" and "Player Right Spell set to A VR Mirror Power"... it keeps getting in the way of me entering command ID #s.. is there a reason it keeps auto equiping? Is there a way to stop it from auto equipping? Please help because otherwise im gonna just uninstall it..

Like in old Doom games
Lmao. Thank you for doing Bethesda's job
Thanks !
Open console and enter command
setini "fRaceSexMenuPlayerYaw:VRUI" <direction in degrees>
e.g.
setini "fRaceSexMenuPlayerYaw:VRUI" 270
if you want character to look left
the command has instant effect, i.e. you don't need to restart game or reopen racemenu/vr mirror
edit: ok so when using that i thought it meant only moving their heads left and right. not the entire body. i want to move only their heads
