It's bizarre, I cannot find the base mesh this mod replaces anywhere in my game files. Was it removed in an update? I wanted to repurpose it as a spell reticle, cause it's large enough to actually be visible, and looks magic.

Ah, yeah I can see how that might be disorienting. That being said, a smaller version of this as a reticle replacer for spell aiming would be amazing. The vaniall ones are impossible to spot, and all the mods just use ugly colors to make them easier to find. This seems like it would be actually immersive, like the rune is part of the spell.

How does one "block" while aiming with the bow? It's worth noting I am using VRIK with their controller bindings

I know the perk says you have to press block while aiming but as far as I can tell, eagle eye seems to trigger anytime I aim with the bow (which is good).

Thanks for this! I want the slow time effect on higher perks, but I feel like the crosshair + laser is a little too cheap. Sneaking bow hits for 3x damage are already powerful enough, I don't mind missing a couple times.

Perfect mod for what I was looking for.

Used this to remove the giant circle bit at the end of the beam, and tried to follow the "fArrowTrajectoryScaleBeam" advice, but it feels like making it longer makes it inaccurate also. The beam stops reflecting the arc of the arrow if you double the length.

Not really a limit to the mod, but thought it was worth mentioning in the posts. I feel like lengthening the beam just makes it worse.

Don't know what settings you'd want to use, but you could probably tweak arrow projectile speed and gravity to match your new arc.

I'm about 20hrs into my vr play-through and I have no idea what eagle-eye/laser this mod removes. Is it from a spell or something?

It's from the eagle eye perk, in 2d Skyrim the perk Zooms in with a bow, in VR it has a large laser and target that does a great job of obscuring your vision, this gets rid of that.

oooo now I see. My god if the pics you show are what it gets rid of I'll just download this in advance of trying out the archery tree. Thank ya!

Yeah that's what it gets rid of, I actually TFCed to the side to get a side view, it's way worse when it's in the center of your vision. It also has a distance limit, so if something is further away, it will stop before it gets to the target, blocking the entire area; it makes being a sniper impossible.

Is there an ini setting that can be edited to increase the distance limit?

There is, but it doesn't seem to work.

thank you for the great mod! wish someone can make a retexture of that ugly big vanilla crosshair to be a simple crosshair instead of removing it completely

It's something added in VR. Someone decided that since zooming in would be nauseating in VR, that the better option would be to add a large 3D target to obscure your vision whenever you aim; this gets rid of that.
If you're not playing VR, then this won't do anything for you.

I didn't realize this mod completely removed the laser sight as well.

The crosshair is too much, but the laser sight is too useful to give up.

If they're two different nifs you can just extract the mod files and delete the laser sight nif before you install.

I'll add multiple files, but yeah, if you delete testarc.nif, then the laser will come back. Speaking of the laser, there's an ini option to make it shorter or longer fArrowTrajectoryBeamLength

fArrowTrajectoryBeamLength? What .ini you are talking about and where it's located?
