Note : Immersive Weapons DOES NOT have an MCM option, and currently no plans have been announced to include one.
*Troubleshooting*
Most issues - such as 'invisible weapons' - indicate the mod is NOT installed correctly, or that there is a mod/load order conflict. Ensure all required mod files have been installed properly and that the load order - including any necessary patches - is correct.
If the game crashes at start also ensure the correct version of the mod (either for Skyrim Special Edition or Skyrim Legendary Edition) is installed - they are *not* interchangeable.
Note #1 : there is no .BSA file in Version 2 - all textures and meshes are individual files. Note #2 : NMM may not install this mod correctly.
Due to the number of files in IW V2 the use of a mod manager to install the mod is recommended. For a manual installation copy the Immersive Weapons.esp file and the following four main sub-folders (along with all the files they contain) to the DATA folder:
/meshes /scripts /seq /textures
*Uninstalling the mod*
Uninstalling the mod mid-game is NOT recommended - preferably start a new game after uninstalling.
To do so delete Immersive Weapons.esp and the four folders listed above.
*'Disappearing weapons'*
Weapons aren't vanishing from inventory, rather, they're being broken down - unintentionally - at a smelter. To avoid this check the smelter menu when creating ingots or drop/store the weapon(s) beforehand.
Vortex is fine! Is just a newest mod mangers, that's all - and they keep updating it.
If you have issues with a mod, simply... manually download it and install it!!! (Actually... regardless if you using or not a mod manager... you always manual downloading any mod, to check it first)...
1. MO2 Does not touch your actual file system so there are far less conflicts when installing and uninstalling mods 2. MO2 automatically handles your output folder for mods to minimize conflicts 3. MO2 allows for in app running of LOOT, Pandora, NEMISIS, FNIS and other commonly used apps and automates the output 4. MO2 allows for virtual mod profiles which allow for quick-fly profile switching which is useful for troubleshooting new mods or just having entirely different mod orders+save files 5. MO2 allows for clean manual installation of mods and does not require any Nexus API (known to glitch and drop packets when downloading mods leading to conflicts)
You asked for 2 I gave you 5. Now give me 10 why Vortex is better.
Please tell me how to install this mod correctly, are there any restrictions? It is not downloading! When loading the game, it is not in the list of mods!
How I miss the search function, Sorry if this has already been asked, but is there any plan to add the extra eastern swords that were in the WOTE MoS edition? I would love to see those make a comeback at some point.
I love this mod, but the texture on Colovian Composite Bow just disgusting. Style wise like from another more cartoony game. Is there a way to get rid of it?
How can I retrieve old version of the ''mighty steel greatsword''. I was making a Guts RP character with that sword. Where can i find the older versions of this mod?
Is there a requirement I am missing? I have been using different mods for years and I have been trying to get immersive weapons to work but inevitably Kahvozein's Fang from Tolfdir's quest is a purple texture, as well as the storm wall staff from Valthume. I downloaded the mod manually & through the mod manager... why are the textures missing??
Very sorry, I noticed it after I installed this mod but this mod was NOT the issue. It was Legacy of the dragonborn. Thanks so much for the new variety of weapons!

Immersive Weapons.bsa Is loaded by Immersive Weapons.esp, but is intended for use in an unknown game
It seems that vortex don´t detect the mod for skyrim special edition. Can I still play with the error or not?
