Thank you kind, wise, and epic stranger on the internet. This is exactly what I needed to know to fix the texture problems I was having recently. Now everything looks good to me. You're awesome.
I'm not sure what i did. I have MT, MCM patch, lafemme, and 1.1 of this patch. I still just get plastic textures and meshes. I saw down further it might not work with MCM version ? :x
That is definitely not a texture UVW-mapped to the vanilla werewolf UVW layout. Something else is tossing a wrong texture into the werwolf texture file location; either the default location or a texture set override path location.
Doesn't work sadly. During the transformation, custom skins are applied properly, but once you are in full werewolf form the texture distorts horribly. The Femme model is still loaded, but the textures don't work. Tried on both 1.1 with only the meshes folder, and 1.0 with the full original mod. Default skin still works, but no custom ones.
looks like mod broke for AE. now after you transform back to human you get a werewolf skinsuit you can't see out of. makes the companions quest a game ender if you do the quest that basically forces you to change. save and reload doesn't work. mind you i don't have the paid upgrade, but since the SE update is basically AE, the same things are broken but nothing is improved.
Alright guys! I found out how to add glowing eyes to my werewolf. HOWEVER it changes any black sclera to white sclera. Personally I prefer having glowing eyes so it was fine for me. If anyone else wants glowing eyes too, here's what to do.
You'll need:
- Nifskope
Go to meshes/actors/werewolfbeast/character assets and open up femalebodywerewolf_1.nif in Nifskope Once in Nifskope, look for EyesMaleWerewolf in the value list and click that. Click on BSLightingShaderProperty. Once you do, a table in the bottom will show a bunch of values. You'll want to change the following, and then save the file:
- Shader Flags 2 - Add Vertex Colours
- Emissive Color - Change it to white
- Emissive Multiple - Change the number to 4
And that should give you glowing eyes! At least it did for me.
Has anyone else tried this? I attempted it but I did not see a change. EDIT: Oh my goodness!! It worked! I just had to edit both the femalebodywerewolf_1 and _0. Thank you!
Just wanted to say if anyone is having difficulty with strange texture warping issues on the mod, downloading the 1.0 version of the official port fixed the problem for myself as well. For some reason the 1.0.1 version just wouldn't work properly.
A request: Please redirect the La Femme Lycana link to my official release. It seems the other author didn't really port but simply reupload the mod with an old improper Oldrim Form 43 module and no NIF optimization on the meshes. I have since done so myself with a few new smoothings to the mesh.
EDIT: ...It seems I have update privs here. I can do it myself then.
I need help, whenever I go into Werewolf form with everything I need installed the textures are extremely broken. On their own both Moonlight Tales and Le Femme Lycana work fine. When they are installed together without this patch Moonlight Tales seems to take over and LFL seems to do nothing. With both activate plus the patch I get broken textures.
I've tried everything I can think of (messing with load order, manual install/replacement of the .esp, both the 1.1 & 1.0 version of the .esp, etc.), nothing has worked. If anyone has any suggestions to fix this then I welcome it even if it seems like I would've done it already just in case I missed something.
BTW, in French, "le" is a male-gender determinant, it gives a male gender to its associated noun. And "femme" is by itself a female-gendered noun; putting a "le" in front of it makes it nonsense. In French, male and female gender determinations are binarily mutually-exclusive, unlike English which has neutral genders (that's why anglophones often mix up "le" and "la", with hillarious results).
If you want the noun to actually be female-gendered, it should be "La femme Lycane".
But, I mean, use whatever pronouns you think are more relevant for this, I'm not judging.

I'm using Vortex btw.
With some file name/location shuffling, you should be able to patch them over.
What I want to know is why only now all of a sudden people are noticing a texture set override problem.
I downgraded to the official 1.0.1 model by Madcat221 and everything runs perfect. For now anyway.
Thanks a bunch!
Edit: I also might have forgot to uncheck the model's .esp so that could have been the cause too
Adding alterned meshes did not work.
I downgraded to 1.0.1 too and it worked.
Thanks for the tips.
