  • The Creation Kit crashes when I try to load one of your patches

    This is most likely because the patch is trying to load assets from one or more Creation Club BSA archives and the CK hasn't loaded the correct BSA archives.

    In your Skyrim Special Edition folder, (one level above your Data folder), open CreationKit.ini (or CreationKitCustom.ini if you have one).

    Search for the section and add this entry:

    bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

    Search for SResourceArchiveList2 and replace it with the following:

    SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices_en0.bsa, Skyrim - Textures0.bsa, Skyrim - Textures1.bsa, Skyrim - Textures2.bsa, Skyrim - Textures3.bsa, Skyrim - Textures4.bsa, Skyrim - Textures5.bsa, Skyrim - Textures6.bsa, Skyrim - Textures7.bsa, Skyrim - Textures8.bsa, Skyrim - Patch.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, Hea...

  • How to use individual CC patches

    Download the individual CC patches from the optional files section of the Files menu.

    These have not been re-saved for the latest version of the game and may need to be re-saved in the Creation Kit (CK) to work properly for you.

    First, install the CK from Steam if you haven't already (it's found in the Software section of your library). Then follow the instructions here to enable you to load the CC patches.

    Once the plugin has finished loading, hit the save icon at the top of the CK and exit. Repeat for each individual patch. You may need to repeat this process every time Skyrim updates. Please note this will break any localization for the patch and may cause it to only work in English....

  • Some text is scrambled or otherwise incorrect

    There is a chance that your strings files, which are used to handle text in the mod, are mismatched with the mod. This can happen if you extract the patch BSA(s) into your data folder and then update the mod, without re-extracting the new patch BSA(s). Because loose files are given priority, this means you'll be using the old, extracted strings files with the updated mod ESL, and will see text mismatches. You should either not extract this mod's files (my recommendation), or extract the updated version's BSA every time you update....
