Can I have permission to port this to ps4 modding over here is a graveyard we desperate for mods heck we lucky if we even get one a day. My friend LuxD.Rice gonna port it for me.
though I maybe incorrect, the Permissions and Credits does state (even though the top item states to ask for permission) - my understanding is that top part is automatic, and the following note is from the author [shrug to conflating paths]: Author notes Do whatever you want with this.
This 'fix' made all the Skaal Village buildings stripy with vertical snow stripes (and also Telengard, since it uses the same meshes). Spent at least an hour trying to figure out what was doing it. For a mod whose description makes it seem like it pretty much just fixes something minor in Winterhold, this was very annoying to discover.
The main problem (perhaps only problem, really, since it's otherwise pretty configurable via the ini files) with the new snow shader is that it doesn't seem to pull any lighting color from the Direct Lighting block in the current weather -- resulting in overly bright grey snow in all weather conditions (day/night/sunrise/sunset/etc). Perhaps pure vanilla weathers and snow texture helps hides this fact, but who's using vanilla weather and snow textures?
I do like a little bit of rimlighting and sparkles, but not being able to color-match the snow to the landscape due to weather direct lighting values is a deal-breaker.
I stumbled on the same conflict when going through my load order in xedit. Just to clarify it looks like USSEP is only adding LOD to the fish hut so it's a very minor conflict. Anyways like mentioned, just forwarded over both changes to a manual merged patch in xedit.
lovely mod! I actually really do like SE's snow shader for whatever reason, but this solidified and fixed all the minor issues I previously had with it, thank you lert!

Yes this mod is for the SE show shader. I don't think it is ugly if you tone if down around 50% (What I do) they look like shiny ice but don't glow as much at night. You can use both mods together.
So shall I make myself a compatibility patch to forward BDS's snow material and your Max Angle, or should I let your esp load after BDS esp, or let BDS esp load after your esp?

1 conflict with USSEP at FormID xx029452 (DLC2SkaalVilFishHut01), which could probably be forwarded.
Have a nice day!
edit: that would ofcourse make it mandatory to have USSEP installed but I figure 99% of modders have :)
