    MY MODS
    Skyrim 3D Trees | Organic Riften Leaves | Skyrim 3D Landscapes | Skyrim 3D Stonewalls | Skyrim 3D Rocks | Skyrim 3D Icefloes | Skyrim 3D Hrothgar Steps | Skyrim 3D Misc | Skyrim 3D Signs

This mod is a first attempt, it may require minor improvements here and there. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please report it.

DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY TEXTURES. Your own frozenmarshice textrure will be used.
If you want your icefloes too look like the ones in the photos, you need to install the 3DLandscapes groundcovers.

Hi there, great job with these.  I think there is a problem with one mesh (frozenmarshicefloes01)...I took a screen shot of the issue in game and also one of the nif in nifskope:

It's not super noticeable, only sticks out at certain times of day.  Any way to fix this tiny issue?  Thanks for any help!

I really like the way these look (and they fixed the weird glowy ice floes i had) but is the auther planning on fixing the collision? I saw them answer about it in the bugs tab, but that was over a year ago now.

It's a real shame this. My character treading kneedeep in a solid chunk of ice bothers me more than the way the vanilla meshes look really.

noice, but it misses one mesh Landscape\Ice\FrozenMarshIceLandBrokenL01.nif, which is used in only one place in the whole game lol (on reference E7FAB in cell -8 21)

    Hello mathy,

I don't know if you noticed but Luxor removed all his mods, included Sea of Ghosts 3D Icefloes. Sorry if it's to many asking but maybe you could re do those meshes ?

      Necroing this conversation:

Luxor has returned to nexus for some time now and released a mod - pack of all his earlier mods of the old account here:
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29885

The 'part 01' file contains the icefloes meshes for the Sea of Ghosts 3D Icefloes. Looking at them with nifskope, sadly they all point to the wrong textures, namely the frozenicemarsh ones just as the meshes here. You would have to manually correct it.

Now if only someone with experience could do the Icefloes in the Dawnguard DLC, then the 3D goodness would be complete...

Yea, I noticed the ones in the Dawnguard dlc weren't 3d. I grabbed luxors Ice Floes a while back before he took his stuff down so I still have them.

Amazing mod works with "just ice" and" loose clear refracting icicle and frostatronach" textures.Recommend these textures.Endorsed

Your ice flows are just as winning as the rest of your content. You really are keeping the scene alive. My gripe with the Skyrim's Ice flows is that they're static, in water that sometimes is very clearly moving very swiftly. I don't expect that's something you can do anything about but a guy a can dream

what you say makes sense, but i dont think its even possible. Would be interested to know if it was possible though. Will ask some people.

It is possible, it's done by various Water overhauls that also do things like bobbing ships... however the problem becomes that you apparently can't make other things move with it, with the ship example it results in everything on deck (especially any doors to interior cells on the boat) remaining static and clipping even as the rest of the boat is moving. The same thing would happen to ice floes with anything ontop of them.

Yeahh the small boats are best to bob only... works well for them.

As for the bobbing Ice packs, I seen this work before in another mod but that was on the Legendary version so can not recall name so its certainly possible.

      * Actually it was the mod *Realistic Water Two* ...............I think the SE version has it too.

Is this compatible with the mod "Just Ice" ?

Yes, as this mod is just a mesh and Just Ice is a retexture. The sticky post also confirms this. The biggest issue you'll get is the icefloes not using Just Ice Textures if something goes wrong.

Love these ice floes. However, I noticed one thing - using the Footprints mod leaves footprints on the ice floes, even though they aren't (visually) covered in snow. I believe the cause is that the material is set to snow instead of ice (the .nif I just inspected seems to have SKY_HAV_MAT_STAIRS_SNOW, even).

Now this is a bit of half-educated guesswork on my part, but I figured I should mention it.

As an aside, I think it would totally make sense for the ice floes to be covered with a layer of snow in most locations they are used in Skyrim. But that'd be a much bigger change than changing the material.
