I might be one of the weird ones but I still prefer this paper world map over the flat maps most people have moved onto. I like the look of the paper world map while still having that 3D feel to it when using it, so this unofficial fix is definitely needed for me.
Works like a charm, really not sure what everybody's issue in these comments is. No more weird mountains in the sky anymore and I also have not seen any issues with map markers. Just make sure this is at the bottom of your load order.
This seems to have an error, that SSEEdit is not able to fix itself, within "Worldspace->0000003C Tamriel-> NAM3 LOD Water Type"
So far, I did not try to fix it myself, but will update it here, once I got confirmation or correction on my assumption, so you can fix it yourself via SSEEdit.
Realistic Water Two v3.0.4 doesn't have the patches in the fomod anymore, but it seems to work with this still. I installed the new RW2 on top of my old one and let it overwrite. It's probably weird to do, but I didn't wanna lose the patches I already had! Just saying this in case anyone was curious.
Anyways, thanks! I was trying to figure out this sky texture problem for like half a year and finally stumbled upon this!
The map is too high when I press the map button it shows the actual world for a second and I need to zoom out to see the map, and the markers weren't moved up with the map so they aren't stuck to the map, is there any way to fix this on my end?
Thank you for the mod .. but... Could you shorten the Author/Created by name ? Vortex displays it and makes that column super wide. Suppose I could hide the column or Vortex/Nexus could handle long names better.. but thought I'd ask here first.
Hello, I have noticed that some map markers from other mods(e.g. Windcaller Refuge from LotD) have a problem of sticking in the view when I navigate trough the paper world map, due to the height change of world map. And I also found(in CK) that the similar type of map markers has especially high Z offsets to their world spaces(like Forgotten Vale from Dawnguard where the world space is non-Tamriel exterior), set by the Paper World Map mod(43) and your fix(85.4). Are the offsets somehow auto-corrected from height changing of the world map or did you adjust them manually? I am fixing the Windcaller problem, and just want to do it correctly. Thanks.
Both Paper World Map and the fix were last in my load order in both panes in MO2. So it's not possible that overwriting was happening. However, I re-installed and everything is OK now. Pretty weird...
@grvulture - I would install the paper map mesh fix separately from everything else and let that overwrite in the Left Pane like it should. You should be careful in the left pane of MO2 it is really tricky and buggy with overwrites.

Could it be I've messed up my settings in skyrim.ini?
All I have is:
bWorldMapNoSkyDepthBlur=1
fMapWorldMaxPitch=90
fMapWorldMinPitch=0
fMapWorldYawRange=400
fWorldMapDepthBlurScale=0
fWorldMapMaximumDepthBlur=0
fWorldMapNearDepthBlurScale=0
And when I remove this mod, my map appears.
However, I re-installed and everything is OK now. Pretty weird...
