Returning users, my Lydia mod has been completely overhauled. And I strongly recommend if you are on an older version to not update mid-game. Wait till you start a new game.

You can test it for yourself. But a lot of changes and I wouldn't ask you to risk it.

For interested people. Skin textures used in the pictures is BnP (nord preset), Brows, The Eyes of Beauty.

Do you think that this mod will be in conflict with pre-thaneship housecarls mod?

I think they should be compatible considering implementation of the AI packages might be more problematic so that is why I am asking.

If that mod changes packages for Lydia, then it might not work. I am unsure.

I'm thinking I'd like to try the new look for Lydia, last time I did that she was blonde, but now I see she looks totally different, I like it!
However, I see High Poly Head SE is a requirement, but I've never tried that mod. Is it okay to just install the High Poly Head mod into a 500 ish mod list without it messing up a lot of stuff?

By itself it does nothing to NPCs, but Lydia with my mod. It only effects the Player if you chose to use it. If you use the mod Race Menu you can "swap" to it and have a smoother head better detail, if you want all NPCs to use it, you'll need to download an NPC overhaul mod like my other mod.

To answer your question, it should be fine.

I see, that's great to hear! I play in VR, so I generally don't care much about my characters looks. I don't have the beefiest PC either, so I wouldn't want all NPC'S to start using a high poly head, it would probably tank my performance. I think I can safely try out Lydias new look with your mod now though, looking forward to it. Great job! And thanks for the reply!

I've been using the "Lydia get a life" mod for years now, I'm very happy with it. I see now that there's a patch for Improved Follower Dialogue as well, but is that one needed if only using "Lydia get a life"?

I like the idea of giving Lydia a schedule in the city. Any chance of a version that just gives her the schedule and doesnt change her appearance, combat and armor stats? I use a different replacer and a mod that gives her a custom one handed sword and tbh i like her much better as a sword and shield user rather than a two hander :P

Do you know how to use xEdit? Or Creation Kit?
You would need to load my mod up and remove everything that I changed for her stats and weapon. I don't see myself doing it, but if you wanted to do it, go for it.

If you need more help, I'd recommend looking up how to create a patch on Youtube.

Hey, this is a great replacer -- the changes to her appearance are subtle, still close to vanilla and best of all don't require the dreaded KS Hairdos!

Speaking of hair, this seems to be compatible with Vanilla Hair Remake out of the box.

Love the tweak to make her a tanky two-hander as well!

Hi there, I've been using this mod on SE on the Xbox and I have run into a problem of being unable to dismiss Lydia. In fact, at the moment, the only dialogue options I have in conversation with her is to tell her to buy a horse and to ask her if she's never heard of Martin Septim before.

I understand if support for the Xbox version might be limited at best, but hopefully yourself or someone could offer some advice as I love the new look and fighting style. I have Divine People: Celestial and Immersive Follower Framework active but no other mods I can think of that would affect follower directly..Immersive Citizens maybe? I'm not sure.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, I literally only have those 2 options in conversation, I can't even ask her to wait or access her inventory.

Thank you in advance,  and, my own problems aside, well done on a fantastic mod. If needs be I'll just keep her around until she dies :'(

I'm not too sure if it's my mod causing it. The only things I've edited is her packages, fighting class and looks. I have not ever encountered a problem with this mod and it's been around a long time. I would guess that it might be some kind of mod conflict. If I had to guess it could have something to do with Immersive Follower Framework. But I'm not sure. Sorry.

That would be my guess as well, I tried jiggling it's position relative to your mod, above/below. The only difference I noticed was putting it above the dialogue overhaul for Lydia stopped her vocal audio from playing when I initiate conversation, though she would still speak as we travelled around.
Are there any follower mods like framework you know to be compatible? I don't overly mind Lydia following me around, her and Sophia make a good team. But I feel like I might be missing out on other features if some of my dialogue options are missing.

      Thanks for the swift reply

      **EDIT**
I removed IFT and can confirm it was indeed the culprit. I decided to test Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks and that seems to work fine. I placed it above Lydia dialogue overhaul and the audio plays fine in conversation and all dialogue options were present.

Thanks again for your swift reply and awesome mod

Glad you found the issue and fixed it. And I would have suggested AFT so looks like it worked. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I've been away all day. But yeah happy gaming.

Does this mod have to overwrite Diversity?

You have to pick one or the other, i don't know much about Diversity but, it seems to overhaul a lot, so if you want her to look and use my mod, then yes it needs to overwrite.

    Love Lydia's new look!
Only problem is that the esp file needs to be inside the Data folder, together with Meshes and Textures folders...

I've loaded this mod, but am having a hard time finding Lydia. I stay at the inn but she never shows up. I'm also using Live Another Life, and was hoping this mod would allow me to gain her as a follower without starting the Dragonborn story arc.

Try checking on top of the guard barracks in Whiterun. She tends to hang out there during the day. Also I can't help with the other part, she only spawns in the game right after you become thane of Whiterun. Hope you find her. If that doesn't work then i would say try console commands and bring her to you.
