Status update Sept/19/2024: Small update to fix some bugs and issues. Been awhile since the last update so I hope the next major update for AIO won't take as long. I'm currently working on Skyblivion so the current ETA on the next update is at the end of this year.
This project is open to anyone with published mods to continue actively updating it beyond 2.0. If you'd like to help maintain this mod pm myself or mnikjom.
Scripted and Lite versions are now available, please see the docs for more details.
Thanks to all for the feedback and the continued support with patches!
FAQ:
Spoiler:
Show
"Can we use AE version if we downgrade to SE?" -Yes. (Select AE 1.6.x option)
"What's the difference from Immersive Citizens-AIO and AIO?" -Does not edit navmesh or utilize the quest alias system (Main File). It is generally compatible with most of the popular mods. -Pure Radiant AI vs Quest directed AI (The engine handles the AI rather than a quest instructing them to do everything. AIO Lite uses a quest system to enhance AI) -Behavior wise AIO is more random and unpredictable vs ICAIO.
"Does this replace "x" mod?" -It could but probably not. It only edits NPC AI Data & packages. Most other AI mods use the quest alias which will overwrite some behaviors from AIO. -Example: AIO makes citizens more cautious when there is danger. "Run for your Lives" will override and make ALL NPCs go inside houses.
"Does this affect NPCs from other mods?" -No, Only Skyrim NPCs. Other NPCs & Followers will use the added idle markers. AIO Lite will work on extra NPCs inside Cities & Towns.
"Do they get eaten by dragons when traveling?" -No, traveling NPCs are protected.
"Safe to update/install mid-play through?" -Attempt at your own risk. Recommended to start a new game if you already had an AI overhaul mod installed. Do not save over old versions. Manually delete quicksave and make a new save and continue on from there. Wait 24 hours in game after updating main file to re-evaluate package data changes. -AIO Lite will require a new game or fresh save (mod was never active on) when updating.
"Can you make more radiant dialogue?" Radiant Dialogue SE -random radiant small talk with NPCs project.
Every mod that makes changes in NPCs appearance need a patch
So even just using a texture/model mod will affect this mod? Interesting how that works. Say I want to use Tempered Skins mods; would I need to find or make my own patch for it?
Has anyone ever had a situation where NPCs could stand in front of a door to another location for a while and then open it after a while? It's like they're hanging out and thinking what they want from them.
I have NPCs from Nimwraith's mod series showing up in wrong places (sometimes it can be very immersion-breaking like the deathrow inmate showing up in a tavern). I was told this mod is probably the reason why. Does anyone know if there is a patch for it, or any other way to exclude the Nimwraith NPCs from this mod's effects?
Check in xEdit if his NPCs are using vanilla DefaultSleepEditorLocNOLOCKING24x8 package. That specific package is broken with the current version of AIO (check the report in the bugs tab for more info).

Is this college of winterhold patch for 'ai overhaul' needed? I haven't tried either yet.
Thanks.
SkyTest Animal AI
use command console "moveto player"
wait until the author come up with the fix and poor old Danica unimmersively stands there forever.
besides, you only need to move her once in a playthrough, after that she will start to live her life normally as intended.
